According to ESPN, the NBA, and SI it was clean and the Kings are whiners. Phoenix is the real deal to them, they are all-stars and they back it up with that amazing win. *yawn*

It is quite discouraging to see that the only person who did not complain or get fined was Pedja. I say this is discouraging because after the game you could see everyone complaining except for him, basically indicating that he did not care that much about the loss. I think he really may be discouraged about his reduced role, especially down the stretch of games.

I won't even wait for piksi to respond to this one ... That's absurd! We're talking about our players throwing a temper tantrum (although I believe it was warrented). Pedja was the ONLY player on the court who was intelligent and under control, and you are criticizing him? What happened after the game and in the locker room has nothing to do with the game of basketball and Pedja knows this. You may think he doesn't care, but I say at least his pockets are more full and he unlike Brad can actually play tonight in Seattle.

that's funny cuz even KHTK peeps are saying after review it was not a goal tend... must be another nation wide conspiracy against the kings.

here's a thought, how about you don't get outrebounded at the 4th quarter? how about you don't give up a rebound on a missed FT only to give up 3 pt shot? or how about you shut the f*&_) and save yourself 2 tech fouls. let's see...how about you protect a 16pt lead, how about you protect a 4th quarter 7 pt lead ... should i go on? no, i know let's blame the refs! yea!

KHTK is local. ESPN called the kings players Hissy fits, and never said anything about the goaltending saying it was "swatted by Stoudamire". The NBA only fined our players, however didnt ever say goaltending. Its obvious we are disrespected because we've always been close to the championship with the crew we have but never can make it. That's more frustrating. I agree that rather than blame it on the refs I can count the missed point blank layup by Brad, missed automatic free throws by Bibby, Brads technicals, and the horrendous fast break points we had (something like 12 to 24). We aint winning diddly like that. :\

Yeah, im wit Twix. Did they Grant and Mike say that too. Grant said that it was goaltending about 100 hundred times when the the play happened.

listening to Koz this morning on the Riese Guys show, stated that both he & other KHTK staff, after reviewing the play on tape agree that it was NOT a goal tend. the league office, also after reviewing the tape said it wasn't even close (of course take that last bit as you will).

I still think it's hard to tell either way, but If you hear someone say it wasn't even close then you definately know they are biased... because it was close.

Actually, my bright side to this is that Brad gets a rest before taking on the Mavs tomorrow on the backside of a back-to-back. We need him fresh anyhow. I think the Sonics big men are slow, so throwing in GO or even Bradley can help. Its the backcourt and RL that we need to control.

Ooooh, good call. I like the sound of that. Brad will go for 30 15 and 10 and decimate the Mavericks after his day of rest.

Not to worry. Brad will be fully rested-up and POed for tomorrow's game and Tag will have a monster performance tonight.

WOW

At first I did not think that it was really worth responding.

Pedja Stojakovic is a very classy sportsman in general. No scandals, he does not talk about people in public, does not criticize referees, does not behave like an idiot, does not risk hurting the team by being suspended for something that won't change a thing.
You as his countryman should respect his contributions to overall succes of Serbian BB. He gives us his summers (volontarly) and that alone deserves respect. Serbia does not have many ambassadors on the level of Pedja Stojakovic. Most certainly - it does not have a player of that caliber (11th at the last Olympics).
If You do not have anything positive to say about him at least do not say anything. Your post is very pathetic by the way.

One positive came out of the Miller suspension. Mad D can't play him on the fantasy team tonight. Heh.

First, this is about what I expected, the NBA is not ever going to let a palyer yell and throw anything at a Ref... never ever, but givne the situation and the fact taht it was a soggy headband they gave Brad the shortest suspension possible, it could have been a lot worse.

Second the reason Bibby got it worse that Webb has to do with WHAT Bibby said to the refs as they were leaving the floor. Again the NBA will NEVER let a player swear at a ref with out paying for it. Ditto Cat's coment about the reffs in the post game show. Webber they could have let slide for the ball kick but I think the leaqe wanted to send a very clear message to all teams/players "Our refs are the final word, live with it or suffer the wrath of the leage.

As for this being "unfair" and what about the actual play forget about it. The NBA does not sanction refs, overturn their calls or accept criticism of them, fair or not that is the way it is and always has been and complaing about it will do no good what so ever.

Waht to do with out Brad tonight? Play Tag. He may pick up quick fouls and be a nonfactor but this guy is starting material, well rested and ready to proove his worth pluss his hunting buddy is out on supension so he may have an ax to grind. Darius will need to paly major min but bottom line is that this team ought to be fired up, they got screwd last game, they got snubed by the all star picks and they are starting off behind in the count tonight and the ONLY thing they can do about any of it is play their collevtive butts off. I would like to see them each with #52 on their arm and headbands. ;)

You know, just throwing this out there, but I'm not sure how much this really hurts us tonight. Here's why -- Brad has a temper problem. He lets people/things get under his skin. Twice this year against the Sonics, both times we've played them, he has let the Sonics' twin thugs (Evans and Fortson) get under his skin and destroy his focus. He has been worthless to us + lost the mental game that they are playing. After Tuesday I have real doubts things would have gotten better tonight.

Tag, on the other hand, is our biggest, strongest player and has shown a willingness to stand in there and bang with their bangers without flipping out. If Rick will just play him, he may actually be a better match for those thugs than a chippy Brad may have been. Of course the real issue this season is that Rick just won't play Tag. Has a blindspot a mild wide when it comes to that style of basketball.

so i'm a little late getting into this. that sucks. i was surprised to see mike get a fine, i didn't think he did anything wrong. my bad.

well this just means a well rested brad for tommorrow which isn't a bad thing. those mavs run and gun it just as muhc, so rested legs will be good.

GO KINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
