I'm sorry, as much as I love Brad Miller and the rest of the Kings, I think Brad brought this on himself, and unfortunately it may cost the Kings a game. His penchant for throwing a fit everytime he feels he is done wrong has made him a target of the referees. And although I feel that it was a borderline goaltend, his reaction to the non-call was completely unacceptible. Chris kicking the ball into the stands, completely unacceptable. Mobley, I can understand because what he did was at least in dignity. But in all my years rooting for this club and hoping and wishing and praying for a championship and wearing my gear, I have to say that I was not happy how our team behaved themselves.

From this day on, Brad Miller needs to check himself. :(
Purple, with this suspension...here's hoping Brad does "wake up." ;)

The fact is that so many of the Kings (not just one) were fined and denied an all-star invitation.. so the kings will probably be more united if anything. It is probably obvious to the Kings now more than ever before that they do get disrespected and so their goal is that much clearer.
They fined Bibby for failing to leave the court!!!!!

What, was he supposed to be like the Suns and Refs and sprint off the court because they knew they got away with something??

It was the end of the friggin' game.....he should be able to leave the court when he damn well pleases.

did you read the headline...Kings' Miller suspended, others fined for hissy fit. wow a hissy fit, do they have to peg the kings any harder.
Oh man, that line made me sooooo mad... A hissy fit? For caring about the outcome of the game on a bad call? Those guys at ESPN are jerks.

The Kings are the Most Disrespected team in the league.

if the kings ever accomplished what their talent level would allow them to accomplish, they would get all the respect they deserve.

its pretty funny on this board, on the one hand if the kings lose a regluar season game (even to a bad call), the response is "it doesn't matter, its just the regular season"

but you (generic fans) want the kings to be respected for what they have accomplished, which is really their regular season winning percentage (and its very good, no arguing that).

but what have the kings accomplished in the playoffs? not much other than consistently bouncing dallas in the first round... so what respect do you want? regular season? then regular season games DO matter, and being blown out at home vs the suprs and the lakers is a big deal.

It is quite discouraging to see that the only person who did not complain or get fined was Pedja. I say this is discouraging because after the game you could see everyone complaining except for him, basically indicating that he did not care that much about the loss. I think he really may be discouraged about his reduced role, especially down the stretch of games.
Peja needs to grow up and be more of a man. It was ridiculous the way he cried and wanted a trade after Vlade left. It's a business and you get payed to play a game. Give me a break! What were the Kings supposed to do? Overypay Vlade $5 million and just take the hit as Vlade broke down and went onto the IR just so Peja still has a friend around??

Peja also needs to be more independent on the court. He can't rely on others to set screens for him to get his shots. He needs to improve his dribbling to create his own shots. Larry Bird was right about him. It's up to Peja to make himself better, he needs to develop a post game to become a better all-aroudn player.

Oh please, give me a break!

This is a game of emotion. At least the Kings showed a pulse. At least they showed that they were upset about a loss in which they felt they got robbed. Or would you rather have the players walk away, being good sports, not really caring about the way the game was lost. Have you ever played sports competitively?

Kings will be fine tonight if they move the ball and do not settle for the jumpers.

Miller player a lot lately - he can use a break

Dam! I knew Brad would get at least one game. Brad loses it and maybe it hurts him at times but I will never take the NBA refs or the leagues part, especially against a guy who has carried this team at times, both last year and this year with his tough play. No one (except maybe Bobby) leaves it all out there as much as Brad does. Does his emotion hurt him with the refs because they hold grudges? Maybe. Do I give a crap what NBA referees think? Most definately not. We'll never get the benefit of the doubt anyways. The people who think he needs to wake up and see that he has to control himself because it can hurt the team are right, he's gotta play through that stuff. But if he feels its a horrible game changing call against him and he lets them know it, so be it. The last thing I want is a Brad Miller with no fire. It's time to circle the wagons, both for the players and the fans. It is us against the world, and it always will be until we can get over the hump. Go Kings!!!

Everyone has to look at the bright side of things. We are getting valuable experience dealing with hardship and it will make this team stronger in the long run. The Spurs, Suns, and Sonics are galloping their way into the playoffs without really being tested. The Kings will be waaay tougher and know themselves better than ever before. Think about it. With the injuries and everything else we found out that our bench is nothing like it was predicted
and maybe even found some guys that can finally make a long run in Sacramento.

Plus for once it's happening before the playoffs!!

Yea very true. Can you imagine a healthy Kings with B-Jax back and Peja playing more consistently. On Tuesday on NBA nation, Greg Anthony and Tim Legler said pretty much the same thing - that Sacramento has people who are really hungry and could be a real sleeper team. They even specifically mentioned Peja as stepping up more this year in the playoffs since there is less of a burden on him as last year.

Actually, my bright side to this is that Brad gets a rest before taking on the Mavs tomorrow on the backside of a back-to-back. We need him fresh anyhow. I think the Sonics big men are slow, so throwing in GO or even Bradley can help. Its the backcourt and RL that we need to control.

All adults should know that there are consequences to ones' actions. But, in this instance I'd rather have a 1 game suspension for Miller than for the team to just accept it without emotion apparantly like the NBA thought they should. If they had just accepted it we'd be in much bigger trouble than a 1 game suspension.

No to the first question, I want players to care and the Kings do. But I want Miller to stop pitching a fit for every non call, non foul, and every other bad call since the '69 Celtics. If this were the playoffs (and I know it is not) ya'll would be pissed. I am sick and tired of seeing Brad Miller throw a freakin tantrum. It was a bad call. Fine!!!! Complain to the ref, cry all you want to ON YOUR WAY TO THE LOCKER ROOM. But don't throw your head band, wrist band, your drawls into the stand, or in the direction of a referee. Why? That is like saying it was OK for Ben Wallace to go after Ron Artest, because it is an emotional game. Give me a break.

To your second question, yes I have played competively, but this ain't about me. i don't get paid to be a professional and not get suspended for a big in conference game.

I have to use another posters' words since they said it best:

It's not the first time and it won't be the last time players have gotten angry over a controversial call to end a game. This is what happens in sports. Hopefully this whole week of disrespect from the league and media (All-Star snubs, bad officiating, suspension) will help the team get more motivated and come together more in the long run. The Kings are a very resilient team already having played so well the last few seasons with the amount of injuries they've had. I think this will only add some more fuel to the fire.
