Miller out 4-6 weeks with a broken leg

KHTK just reported that Miller broke his fibula in practice today. It was the other leg and not the one that he was having problems with. This totally sucks

Kings Injury Woes Continue: Miller Fractures Fibula
SACRAMENTO, CA ---- Sacramento Kings center Brad Miller suffered a non-displaced fracture of his left fibula today (3/12/05). The fracture was confirmed by x-rays taken at the UC Davis Medical Center. The injury took place while Miller was going through light shooting drills during practice. It is expected to take approximately four to six weeks for the bone to heal.

Is there a team more consistently snake bitten than us??? At least the 1 year the Spurs sucked when Robinson went down they got the first pick in the draft and got Duncan!!!

It would be real nice to not have a missing piece every year.

that sucks im starting to think our team is jinxed every year we lose people late in the year that kills our playoff hopes even if he gets back in 6 weeks thats roughly around the 25th of april the playoffs would already have begun and even then itll take him awhile to get back to game shape.

Only a Kings player can injure himself like this. How does one do it anyways ?
Miller jumped to shoot the ball only to trip over Peja who was on the ground searching for his cajones!

how much bad luck can we get! this pisses me off. we need miller. but hey maybe its a blessing in disguise...maybe this can help make peja realize even more that he really needs to step it up and become the player like he was last year instead of having Bibby always carrying the team (even though I dont mind Mr. Clutch in charge)

Okay, aside from the "Hey, look at this..." comment, how could he break his leg "going through light shooting drills"????????

...sigh...

...big sigh...

...incredibly big sigh and shrug of resignation...

Just when you think the Kings have a chance to be contenders again after the Webber trade, we get hit with another major blow. I'll still say the Kings are a great team, but the kings will need Brad Miller come playoff time. If he returns in 4 weeks, I'd say we're still in good shape. If he's out for 6 or more weeks, the Kings will be severely hurting in the playoffs.

The only things we can hope is that Brian Skinner continues to play superb as well as Corliss Williamson and Kenny Thomas. However, Peja Stojakovic needs to realize the Kings need him now more than ever. If he can turn up his game and give the Kings 20-25 points a night, I'd say the Kings will do fine without Brad Miller for a few weeks.

When I read the title of this post I thought "this HAS to be a joke!" MAN, this sucks. I know all teams have injuries, but only a King could reinjure himself before he's even returned to play a game from the previous injury.

While this is just craziness, yet believable because it's the Kings, The Chris Webber trade looks even better now. Thankfully we have skinner to start. Our depth is really gonna pay off now. With Skinner in the Center we still have Tag to back him up, and still have 4 forwards for an even rotation.

I hope you're right. I was just thinking this might make the trade worse because Brad's was the other guy who was good at passing the ball, but I like your take on things much better. GO KINGS!
