Michael Redd

Forgive me if this is a bit too adventurous but the simple question i ask is should we look into signing him IF we can get him on the cheap.

Consummate professional whose obviously had a horrid run of injuries in recent years but would offer us outside shooting and vet leadership off the bench.

I can see other teams pondering bringing him in, in particular Denver with the George Karl connection.

with the trends the mavs have set up.. (shooters off the bench) and how far they got to the playoffs.. no doubt some playoff or contending team will offer redd a reasonable sum of money to play for them.

Redd is a shooter and despite injuries, he can still be pretty effective but, he'd be better off with a contending team, win one now. for all his hard work. i wouldn't mind to have him on our team though... for a reasonable price.

Someone might take a flyer on Redd, but it damm sure better not be us. For the last five years Redd has averaged playing in 37 games. Including only 10 games last season. During that span, his 3 pt shooting has declined as well, shooting only 29% last season. Add in that he'll be 32 years old in august, he's not an attractive freeagent. I wish him well, and I hope he can make a comeback, but not at our expense.
