Why? well they get rid of Blount and Banks who doesnt fit with the Heat system anyway. Adds much needed help in the starting role with wonderful complimentry players and a ball on defender in Artest, who the heat always wanted but didn't have the pieces to aquire. This trade allows heat to compete with the top 3 teams of the east.

Why? well this is basically saving off salary and still being able to compete at a high level in the east. With all signs showing that Gordon,Duhon might bolt for them to resign Deng, bringing in Salmons Banks and Cook really helps alot. They run the risk again without having a low post presence by not drafting Beasly but I guess Rose is worth it.
