I am not seeing the memphis game on the guide for directv. Any word on whats up with this. I would mark the first game not on DTV in 3 years for me.
I suspect the whole problem might be that he hasn't updated his program guide recently. My guide - on DishNetwork - does show the game being broadcast starting at 5 p.m. on the Comcast Sports Network (channel 409).
This is good. I'll be able to watch it on a real TV. I got the NBA League Pass Broadband Int'l and almost always it took me 3-4 hours to finish watching the game replay. It was either my computer, or my connection having some problem.its going to be shown here too.. around 9am ill be able to watch while im doing my thing![]()
I'm not sure I understand this, VF21. Is this something I should be doing as well?![]()
Ditto for me too.I suspect the whole problem might be that he hasn't updated his program guide recently. My guide - on DishNetwork - does show the game being broadcast starting at 5 p.m. on the Comcast Sports Network (channel 409).
Nope. Your receiver should do it automatically but if you have that function shut off - or set to be performed only when your receiver is inactive and you never shut it off - then you'll occasionally need to reboot the system. It doesn't happen often but according to my friend in the business it is something that he occasionally gets calls about.

I have an abundance of choices. Dish and Direct. However Direct tv shows the game on channel 698 comcast california. I have discovered that with the direct tv recievers that are DVR, they sometimes get overloaded with recordings and become sluggish. Sometimes a hard reboot will jog them back to normal. I've also had to go in and do a factory reset on one of my receivers to get it to come back to normal speed. Of course you lose all recorded programs when you do that, which is a pain.
Which receiver?
You should also do a soft reboot when ever possible. the red reset buttion should be a last resort.
There was a software rollout a while back that caused some problems. They had a fix a few days later.
Actually, I don't have a red reset button. I did the factory reset through the menu. The reciever that I have is a model R22-100. Direct TV plus. Dolby digital..
About a month and a half ago, maybe longer, it started moving in slow motion. I tried everything including a hard reset. I finally gave up and just did a factory reset throught the setup part of menu. You can be selective about the reset, but I just decided to do the whole ball of wax since I didn't have all that much recorded at the time.
Time to upgrade to HD.
The red reset button is by the access card.
This unit did have some problems for a while and still has some.
I'm guessing you're in the business. Thanks for clarifying the point I was trying to make. I'm not in the business so I wasn't sure of the technicalities involved.
