I agree it opened up opportunities for our rookies that otherwise would have been less existent, but trading JV for scraps still makes me question Perry’s decision making.Who knows how long it would have taken to discover Max and Cardwell with JV still backing up Sabonis and eventually starting due to injury? I'll give Perry credit for that, though I didn't like the trade at all in the moment. Helped the "tank" too
Gotta remember that the only reason JV is playing in the NBA at all this year is because Denver threatened him with litigation if he left for his big Europe deal this summerI agree it opened up opportunities for our rookies that otherwise would have been less existent, but trading JV for scraps still makes me question Perry’s decision making.
Okay, I knew there was talk of his returning to Europe but didn’t realise Denver had applied the thumbscrews.Gotta remember that the only reason JV is playing in the NBA at all this year is because Denver threatened him with litigation if he left for his big Europe deal this summer
Kings finally got an enforcer but he’s a 22 year old French rocket scientist who went to Stanford lol
He is sipping his protein shake every time they do an interview after the game.Stuff like this gives me hope he can improve on the defensive end. If you're a Dragan Bender level wussy, you have no chance. Max has the fight and the want, he's just gotta keep working on his frame.
It's crazy how this relatively small amount of attitude from a rookie is noticeable. As much as I loved the beam team, they were very very soft (outside of a brief Trey Lyles losing his mind and choking Lopez moment).

Boy puts on some muscle he's gonna be a threat
