Give all credit to Rockets. If we are playing the Mavs I suspect the same result.troosvelt said:Maybe we should have held out for the Mavs, although Rockets are strong in areas where we are weak.

Franchise high 29 games won on the road this year, NONE of the superstars on the team have showed up this post season and we still BARELY lose...
I don't know they've dug themselves into a whole but I don't think it's over by any means. Come see me if we lose Thursday, then I'll say IT'S OVER

The reason the "Stars" haven't shown up is simple. They met a good team who's playing at the playoff level. Mavs are obviously still thinking them beating up on crap teams means a damn. No, you're playing the Rox. One team, 7 games. (not literally 7, more like 4)
Rox game plan is also simple. Pick and Roll with Tracy + Yao; Shut down Dirk. They realized that there aren't any other superstars on the Mavs. Just pretenders and over-hyped roleplayers. Good roleplayers, but still roleplayers.
Only teams who've come back being down 2 at home are the '69 Lakers and '94 Rockets. Anyone who thinks Mavs are comparable to either of those teams, is sadly mistaken. Barring a complete collapse by Houston, Mavs are finished. There is nothing Mavs can do or have shown to indicate otherwise. Even Jerry Stackhouse in the postgame interview said that the Mavs' only chance is to hope Houston doesn't play as well.
And of course, it's all Finley's fault. Didn't he say before the game that game 2 wasn't crucial? What a joke.

I wish everyone would just calm down. If we get beat in this series, it is not because they were a much better team than we are. The Mavs just didn't play the basketball that they are used to. They are too overcoached and they are so afraid to make mistakes.
I disagree, the Rockets are not the better team. The only difference is, they're playing their normal game and we are not. Like I've said before, the guys are being over coached and have been afraid to make mistakes where they should be just playing basketball.
