He's just being Shaq, adding drama to give NBA critics with too much free time something to talk about.
He's being exactly what Van Gundy (jokingly) called him: a very sensitive guy.

No one called Shaq a "flopper" just of an incident of "flopping" and if he can't tell the difference (or more importantly choosing not to) then that's on him.
