Maloofs will be at the game tomorrow night....

If KJ AND the Maloofs are at the game I hope they both keep their mouths shut. I have this vision of KJ grabbing a microphone and giving a speech and having everything go poof! right in front of a packed house. I hope they all refuse to answer reporter's questions. This could be dangerous to the process. At first I disagreed with the PR people but if the Maloofs don't grant an interview of any substance, it'll be fine. I think the average fan would see it a a bad sign if they didn't show up. Please, oh, please, don't let Gray be there.

The Maloofs are emotional. It works against them at times, but its also one of the things that makes them real and well liked. They wear their emotions on their sleeves, and hopefully to some extent, they let their emotions play a part in their decisions. It is my belief that they're very loyal people. They treat their employee's well, and I do think they pay attention to the fans in sacramento. Yes, those fans do represent dollar signs. But thats the nature of the business. But financial matters aside, I think they identify with the fans, because they themselves are fans. And there's nothing a fan would rather do than talk about his team to another fan. Sort of why were all here on this fourm, don't you think?

The Maloofs were the first owners that I personally saw come up to the skylight lounge after some of the games, and just hang out with the fans up there. They're very approachable. When Cruzdude and I were at the summerleague games, we were able to approach Joe and Gavin, and their mother, and have lengthy conversations with them. They're not pretentious or standoffish. Because of that, I think this game can have a positive effect on them. In their hearts, I believe they look at this team the same way we do. They die with the losses, and get angry with the mistakes. And they probably get overly optimistic with each new draft pick or freeagent aqquisition.

The only thing we can offer them is loyality in the way of attendence. And I think they appreciate loyality more than people know. I don't think that will be enough unto itself, but its a start. Yeah, I know! I'm the eternal optimist. But no one ever accomplished anything by wishing, or thinkinig it couldn't be done. So please. Just for one night. No sour grapes! No booing or any type of discord! Lets show a little love for the team and the owners. Lets bring back memories of the good old days. And lets show the Clippers what the hell loud really sounds like. Lets blow the roof off the place..

And if Kevin Johnson is at the game, no sour grapes there either. Only good vibes. Who knows, if the atmosphere is right, maybe both sides will shake hands right there on the floor. Hey, I can dream, can't I? Miracles do happen!!!!

I just read on Jim Kozimor facebook that he said "Kings moving is sad. Enjoy the memories, Sactown. You can watch Fox 40 on Monday at 6:45a.m. and 7:15a.m. to see how to preserve your memories for a lifetime. Set the DVR!"

Well said. im pretty pumped for this game.

It wasn't deleted at all, it's still right there if you click on the link.

Really? I don't see it. What is the date/time?

this is the latest one I see:

Another family goal is to cater to all professional, amateur as well as women #skaters. We want to give anyone who skates an opportunity

Where? Am I missing something? If they removed the comment (coupled with the Kozimor comment above), color me worried.

I really don't think that Jim Kozimor is in the know on what's going on. If the Maloofs had already decided to move, they wouldn't have asked for an extension to discuss things at the board meeting April 14-15. They'd have simply filed to relocate.

You think I didn't click the link? Seriously? I don't use Twitter so I don't have a login for the site. Perhaps that changes what you see.
I just logged out and then clicked the link, and this is what I see:

So I don't know what's going on with you and your computer, but it's all still there.

Great, thanks. I an not a twitter person, so maybe I can't see the most recent posts just by following the link? The latest one I see is the one at the bottom of your pic. Strange.

Likewise. Good to actually see the post. Thanks to Amaranth for posting.

You're welcome, guys.

So the gag order wasn't about the arena, it was about the CBA, according to Carmichael Dave.

I'm told that the Bee's report that the NBA has a gag order on the Maloofs to the tune of 1mil about the arena deal is false. It's about CBA

And if you guys have problems seeing that one too, I'll be happy to screencap it for you in the morning. ;)

Joe saying it is going to be a special night... hmm. What would make it special is if he says they won't file to relocate this year. Arco would go berzerk!!

Very good post... :)

Whew. That would be an awesome experience to be a part of. Like the 01' WCF when Bibby nailed the jumper. I have goosebumps thinking about it. But alas, it is still just a pipedream.

It'd probably be like what happened when they announced that the Giant had won the World Series during the home opener. It was like 10000000 decibels in Arco for a good minute.

I wouldn't read anything more into the "specialness" of the night (quote by JMaloof). It's the fans saying they don't want the team to leave, and showing up to voice that statement. That the whole rally was created and supported by the fans of Sacramento is pretty special in itself. They know fan support for the team exists in Sacramento.
