Maloofs will be at the game tomorrow night....

How is that a bad idea? Joe also said in a later tweet that "this will be a special night and that the 17,317 kings fans that will be there Monday night are our friends. We always appreciate the fans and the customer."

It would be a horrible message if they didn't show up. Did I say "HORRIBLE?" Don't prejudge their actions. Try to influence their actions.

That's interesting, didn't know that. To me it seemed like they were always at the home games because the camera would point towards them and you already know their there when you hear a loud whistling echo.

how can this be bad? thats great news.

edit: hopefully people are sensible enough to realize that they shouldnt boo the maloofs

This is great news! In the midst of the storm and into the possible heat of the fire, they are planning to show up. A coward and one who had his/her mind made up, wouldn't even think about it.

Do Sacramento proud .........................

I think it would be a great thing if the brothers Maloof showed up. If they don't show up the fans should really worry. An even better thing would be during halftime they took the mic and announced to the Arco crowd while standing at the half court line that they hope to be in a new arena downtown in about 24 to 36 months!! I hope they don't get heckled.

It's not a question of if they go, they are "absolutely" going. He made that pretty clear.

Will they be massively booed?

If the whole idea of this campaign of selling out the game to show fan support, then why in gods name would you boo the very people your trying to convince. I swear if I was there, and the guy next to me started booing, we'd both be ejected from the game for fighting.

Ailene Voisin tweeted that the Maloofs were advised not to attend the Clippers game, so I suppose the Maloofs coming out and saying that they will be there is important.

They've already said they're going to be there via twitter. Here's the link.

I was going to say the same thing. Why in the world would anyone boo them?

I'm with you on that, Baja

Where? Show me where they have said they are leaving. They have asked to extend the deadline for filing for relocation. That is not a "decision" - it is postponing one to see what happens in the meantime.

You misunderstood me. I wasn't talking about relocation at all, I was responding to a poster who said "I think it would be a great thing if the brothers Maloof showed up." I was pointing out that it's not a question of if they go to the game, because Joe made it very clear that he and his brothers WILL be at the game.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that them showing up against the judgment of their advisor is probably one of the best signs of them looking towards staying that we've had for a while.

Why is this a thread? Aren't they at all the games anyways? Well atleast Gavin & Joe.

No, they're not. I haven't seen them in my last two games. They are not always there and it is a big deal. I'm glad ot hear it. I think they should get a standing ovation, if you want the Kings to stay. No. 1, they deserve it, and No. 2, I want them to love Sacto. If you or anyone can think of a better approach to help keep the KIngs here, please suggest it.

Who advised them not to attend? Stern?

Joe and Gavin Maloof are going against the advice of their handlers by coming to tomorrow’s Kings-Clippers at Arco Arena. Their p.r. people tried to convince them to stay away – not for fear of the fan reaction, but rather, for fear they would break their vow of silence and say something about the hush-hush arena negotiations that are ongoing with with officials in Anaheim. Internally, the debate persisted throughout much of the weekend. The co-owners – being the bosses – prevailed a few hours ago and tweeted that they will be in their courtside seats on Monday
