Malone Fired

This is good news hopefully Jokic demands out of that craphole he deserves better than what they got over there. There bench if 5 GLeague players and they maxed Murray after two bad seasons and a bad Olympics, clown level stuff

OKC should throw the kitchen sink at them Chet/JDub/picks

So Bruski's a nice guy, I've met him a few times, whatever, but I think the media narrative on the Malone firing from the Kings was WAY over simplistic. They basically told the story they wanted to tell. And I'll be the one guy on this board to stand by that firing. Fine, I'm OK with that.

Now I don't know the circumstances of the Denver firing, but the timing is atrocious - it's the Grizz timing but even worse! That doesn't mean that the Nuggets didn't have good internal reasons for doing it - and given that the timing is so terrible there may have been very very very good reasons for doing it. But the media will go with "Nuggets are dumb" because that gets clicks, regardless of whether that's the real story or if there's a lot behind that.

Not Matt George making up another imaginary narrative in his head for some reason again

We should be real about Malone's tenure. He was a good coach. Vivek hired him before he hired the idiots to run the team. Those idiots hated Malone, not Vivek. They waited until Boogie was out sick and the team hit a skid and sacked him getting their way only to demonstrate just how unbelievably stupid they were hiring a coach that hated their star player. That whole saga, which in many ways lead directly to Vlade/Williams blowing the Luka pick are why Vivek is hated despite saving the team for the city. He made a bad GM hire and then coupled it by trying to appease the fan base and making a second bad one.

Those who are so quick to run off Monte really should consider that.

Nuggets are in 4th place but only out of the play-in by half a game and possibly tie breakers right now.

As much as I wish any Adelman success, this could be really funny.

Realistically, could we make a play for Aaron Gordon? MPJ (not sure he's worth his contract?)

I think our ownership took the wrong side in the GM/Coach rift and I don't think Booth is special either, but maybe coach publicly beefing with his GMs is its own problem. Mike Malone is going to be fine and will get hired pretty quickly either way, so I can laugh about it too.

the Nuggets literally have one tradeable pick and that one’s in 2031 And their two best non-Joker assets are Braun and Watson, who are still on their rookie deals and more valuable to the Nuggets than probably anyone else.

they tried trading for Lavine at the deadline but didnt have enough for the Bulls to pull the trigger while all it eventually took was Huerter/Zach Collins/Tre Jones and the Spurs relinquishing the protections on the Bulls pick this year.

Gordon shooting has greatly improved but salary wise it would take monk and Jonas to get it done don’t see how that helps denver

I don't want to hear anybody complaining about players lacking loyalty, ever again. "Just get a haul" for the 3x MVP who led your franchise to it's only championship ever. That dude should be allowed to stay in Denver until he wants to leave, to hell with the future.
