Within the past two hours, a major storm has occurred in San Antonio. If you have friends or relatives from Sacramento on wau to the game, call them and tell them to stay away from any and all of the low water crossings near the AT&T Arena.

The basketball gods have spoken. Ron is the chosen one. All hail our new King.

Hail Ron.

Wait a sec -- a Spurs fan telling Kings fans to stay away because of the big storm? I sense an ulterior motive here! :D

I figured that someone would probably make light of this message, but I am deadly serious. There are awful low water crossings around the AT&T Center. I read in the paper today that at least 1000 Sacramento fans had bought tickets and were expected to attend the game. If any of them flew into the game and are using rental cars to attend the game, I just wanted to give a message to you guys to alert them. If you're not familiar with San Antonio, you can come upon a low water crossing that hasn't been barricaded yet by SAPD.

We can all get behind our teams--but everyone needs to be safe.

There is sever T-storm warning set to expire at 7pm CT. Not ideal situation for visiting fans, but I am sure they'll manage. Most people plan way ahead when visiting a city half-a-contintent away, so I would hope that most Kings fans are already at the arena.

You're very welcome.

Basketball is just a game.

Losing a loved one is tragic.

Good luck to both teams and may God keep safe everyone who is attending the game.

I agree that alot of people are probably at the arena if you're from out of town. That is why I thought it would be adviseable to warn them about eh low water crossings.

San Antonio is an old city. I love the city. But it is old and the drainage is awful. The area where the game is played is in the eastside of San Antonio, where drinage is very bad. Especially if you try to come back into the city to going to the River Walk.

Not trying to be an alarmist--just wanted our guests from out of town to have information.

Let's not get into generalizations about Spurs fans because someone will have to be the first to make a snide comment or something...

Big Shot Rob,

Thanks again.

Be safe everyone heading to the game, and thanks for the heads up BSR.
