A whole lot... damn. I just checked that earlier at like 4 or 5 pm. Teams must be wanting to go with their final guys for practices/final games.
Damn, my boy Theron Smith got released... oh well. He'll find something, he's young and versatile.
Randy Holcomb played well for the Bulls, but it was between him and Kasib Powell for the final spot.
Bricklayer said:Yeah, but unless we're planning on picking up Jahidi White to just flat out scare our opponents into ineptitude, nobody there that would seem to justify an emergency release of Luke. Probably just training camp business as usual. maybe after our last couple of performances, the powers that be decided that it was time to settle into our regular team and try to get a real rotation going.
kingsofnba said:what happened to the days when the maloofs said win at any cost???... now a $368K/year player with some potential can't be stashed away for safe keeping in the NBDL... i'm not saying Luke is the second coming of Bill Walton, but he could have developed into a good backup, ala luc longley or chris kaman... a minimum contract to take a longer look at Luke wouldn't have killed the kings, especially with all the injuries we always have...
oh well, i just hope we stay healthy... i hope releasing Luke doesn't come back to haunt us in the playoffs some day in the future, ala Jerome James last season...

I'm thinking this also. Friday's game should be a pretty good look at what we are going to seeing come next week
