From the Monarchs' blog:
"10:31 a.m. (PST): The Minnesota Lynx acquire Lindsey Harding [the #1 overall pick] from the Phoenix Mercury in exchange for Tangela Smith..."

What a shocker!

I also noticed that the #2 pick, Jessica Davenport of Ohio State, was selected by the San Antonio Silver Stars. But the SStars need a guard, and they already have a big center in Ruth Riley. Is a trade in the works?

Spoke too soon. The SStars have just traded Davenport to the N.Y. Liberty for in exchange for Becky Hammon!
