Phil Jackson has always wanted to coach the Knicks. He has never built a championship team but if they get him, the Knicks would be an instant hit.

If he can pull a championship team out of that mess, I might have to reevaluate my long-standing opinion of him.
But will he? I doubt it.
For any coach who has not already cemented his rep that crew of over paid knuckel heads will be the kiss of death for his career. Which is why smart young coachaes like Muscelamn will steer clear. You may be right that PJ will get the call, but I would be both supprised and impressed if PJ actuly took the job. PJ has NEVER coached a team that did not have a big advantage on the competiton, so unless the Knics can trade for Wade, Shaq and Oakafor just don't see it. Not sure who will get the job but like I siad it is likely to be someone who has made his bones already.Lamar_Odom said:To get paid the kind of money coaches get paid these days, to be around the NBA, all that goes with it? You'd be crazy to turn it down.
