Regarding the Kobe clip: I don’t think he was “on” Pau as some of you might think. Jordan Farmar was talking to Pau right before. I think they were just trying to get him going – considering that Pau was just awful at the beginning (not that he really did better later in the game).

I think the Lakers are going to win this, but I hope that the Rockets come out strong and forceful from the very beginning. They really need to get an early lead, make their shots and play hard nosed defense.

Lets go Rick! You deserve a ring!

i know the chances are slim... but thats what makes the rockets PLAY harder.. i hope the realize that they have a 20% chance.. the 80% comes from heart and effort!!!

am i right!?

What does that have to do with anything? The point is the Lakers are supposed to be so damn good and they actually are. But as mentioned before they're underachieving and playing inconsistently and that's what Kobe is probably upset with - guys not playing like how they normally play.

Shouldn't he be slapping himself in the head then?

That was the way I interpreted that too. A "come on let's go" talking to/slap rather than a "you loser" slap. You notice it looks like he rubbed his head after hitting it, so a pump you up gesture I am thinking.

I feel a 2002 Kings/Laker game 6 coming on... I'm gonna record this game to watch for any "irregularities"

Miracles are bound to happen... Nuggets over Sonics.... 0.4....Horry's Shot......Rockets over Lakers..

I also can't help but feel that home court advantage won't help this time (disregarding Joey Crawford), it seems that the Rockets have gotten into the Lakers heads and anything can happen

yup, lots of phantom calls on the rockets bigs and they are toast. the main thing is to watch out for any of the rockets fouling kobe's elbow with their nose. u know they're gonna send all the lakers refs out there to officiate this one.

Aaron Brooks, in his post game interview, was asked something along the lines of "no one gave you guys a chance in this series, you've taken the Lakers to seven games without Yao or McGrady, what do you have to do on Sunday?"

Not directly answering the question, Brooks said: "We still don't have a chance."

That's the attitude they've been playing with all series long, and that's why they've had the success they've had. I'm actually looking forward to Game 7. I don't know what's going to happen, but this game is going to be exciting. I wouldn't be surprised to see little aliens climb out of Yao's body, suit up and run a 3-2 zone. It's gonna be nuts, and anything can happen.

Now that's a visual image I can honestly say I never expected to have.

:p

To kingsnation, that's what I meant.

I agree.
I hate Kobe AT LEAST as much as the next guy.... but this clip actually looks like Kobe striving to be human, and to connect with his team-mates, and to do those things that team leaders are supposed to do (all the knocks on Kobe thus far in his career)

Well then maybe you shouldn't watch this game tomorrow. Anything can happen. And maybe it's Deke's body that's more prone to house the zone playing aliens, but just be ready for some excitement of one kind or another.

Doesn't look good for the Rockets right now. Maybe it's because I forgot to do this:

Die Laker scum!!!

As I expected, Aaron brooks to overdribble, get absolutely nowhere, have a horrible game and turnover the ball..

WHAT the F*** is wrong w/ the rockets person who is providing the screen???? ROLL goddamnit. its PICK AND ROLL. not pick and stand. the defensive help is there. so move to create some goddamn space. stupid rockets

I applaud the Rockets for taking it to a game 7. There was no way on earth they should have been able to do that much. Pathetic showing? I guess it's a matter of perspective.

Gotta wonder about the mindset of the Lakers. When Kobe was asked by a reporter post-game to describe his team, he had a telling answer: "Bi-polar."

When they're hot, they're hot; when they're not, they're not. And that's not the thing championships are made of. The Zen Master truly has his work cut out for him. And I still firmly believe the Lakers were a much better team WITHOUT Andrew Bynum in the mix.

I wasn't around to see the game...was it anything like game 5? I heard it got pretty bad for the Rockets...Sad, cause I really wanted Rick to wear that ring.
