Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard insisted he deserved to be an All-Star, and now he has earned that status for the second straight season. He's performed like an All-Star in recent meetings with the Los Angeles Lakers. Lillard and the Trail Blazers look to go into the break on a high note by handing the Lakers a franchise-record 11th straight road defeat Wednesday night. When Commissioner Adam Silver selected Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins to replace injured Lakers star Kobe Bryant on the All-Star team Friday, Lillard posted on Instagram thanking the coaches, fans and Silver for thinking he wasn't good enough for the team.
