Phoenix comes out guns blazing and has a 39-32 lead at the beginning of the second quarter.

News10 is carrying it...

GO SUNS!!!

Phoenix maintaining a double-digit lead for the most part.

64-54 Suns

With a little more than 8 minutes left in the third quarter.

is Kobe sick or something?? Surprisingly he did not try to take over early in the game

He should start thinking about it. Watching Kwame and Walton carry the load is making me ill.

At least the Lakers came out ready to play.

Don't get me wrong. I still detest Kobe Bryant and his attitude. But his team has shown heart and drive.

This was actually a pretty good game to watch...at least as a Kings fan.

If refs miss such calls for the next 100 years against Lakers - It won't be enough to make it up

Steve Nash was MIA from the 2nd quarter until the last 2 minutes of the 4th. That doesn't do much to quell the "out of gas" theory on him.

they won and that is the bottom line

thomas.... wow... the league is lucky that kt and amare are injured....

There were plenty of missed calls both ways (as usual).

As for a missed call on Kobe in the waning seconds of the game?

Karma's a @#%@ isn't it ;)

we would have probably had a better chance aganist the suns ! who knows ..........

Yeah, watching the Suns and the Lakers kind of p***es me off. Did you see how many times the Suns allowed the Lakers to penetrate, or left Lakers five feet open for threes? I wish we had that luxury against the Spurs... :)

And that, at least, makes it a little easier to swallow. I think Phil will do what he does best...make adjustments..and hopefully they'll play better defense in the first and squeek out a win in game 2. I can only hope. :)

People have long accused Phil Jackson of only being a winning coach because he has a packed team. Well, I think this year he's showing that he can do quite a bit with one superstar and a bunch of role players. Not bad, not bad at all.

Of course, you do realize I'm still thinking, "DIE LAKER SCUM!" right?

;)

I would expect nothing less from you VF!! ;)

me too! DIE LAKER SCUM!!!

i watched bits and pieces of the game. i have a feeling kobe will take over the next game. i hope it does happen because kobe put up fantastic numbers against the suns this year, i think 45 PPG, and they lost 3 of 4 games, the only one they won was a tank game by the suns ( no nash)

and as always, i'm glad the lakers lost :D

DIE LAKER SCUM!!!

...just to get that out of the way before saying it looks like the Lakers just might pull of the upset in this series, unless Nash steps up his game more.
