LAKERS Princeton offense

I really cannot understand why Mike Brown has chosen to adopt the Princeton offense.
From my understanding, everyone needs to be able to shoot the ball and everyone needs to be able to pass.

For the Kings of old it was perfect! Everyone from Vlade down to Bibby could shoot and pass. We all had no problem with C-webb or Vlade shooting 20 ft jumpers!

However for the Lakers...idk if you want Dwight Howard doing that...we saw it a few times last night.
Not sure what his passing skills are :P

And Kobe! Oh glorious Kobe who will become nothing more but a jump shooter along with Steve Nash!

Meh, not sure why i created this thread but it irked my seeing the Lakers execute the Princeton offense so horribly last night....

de-emphasises Nash as a creator, keeps the ball pretty much out of Kobe's hands, relies on Howard and MWP to make good passes and hit their shots. I see nothing wrong here. certainly no reason to fire Mike Brown or Eddie Jordan. hope they keep it up all season.

Isnt that what you dont want to do? I mean excuse me if im wrong but having the ball in his hands is how Nash has played his whole career...same as Kobe.
Idk not trying to argue but i just feel that they are playing to their weaknesses and not strengths.

not that I'm bothered but the Lakers looked horrible last night. There best stretch was when the went to Jordan Hill in the post. Even with Nash out there they looked lost. But people said that about the Heat when they first got together and look at them so...

You are missing the spirit of his post methinks. ;)

I have no doubt that the Lakers will win many games. Do i think they will make it too the finals? No, at least not this year. They are in a different position than the Heat, the Lakers have a much shorter window to get it together. Nash and Kobe will be gone soon enough while Wade, Lebron and Bosh will be perfecting how to play with eachother.
The have talent for sure though, the bench is very weak however but that can be fixed by having 2 all starts hold it down. Gonna see all the starters playing big minutes this year....interesting to see if Nash and Kobe can kick it up a notch :P

xD probably in any case its still good see the Lakers in trouble :)

yeah, you got it, I was being sarcastic. this whole thing just seems to be a recipe for disaster, which I don't mind the least bit, since there would be nothing more entertaining than a massive implosion with considerable fallout in LaLa land. and if (IF) there is, preferably with a lot of bad blood, it might hurt their chances of retaining Dwight. don't see it happening, but fingers crossed and so on.
