Well its just not in Sacramento where people cheer Kobe on. If that makes you feel any better.

thats one reason why i hate kobe.. arrogant SOB! i hope another team rubs it in his face and knock him out of the playoffs....

oh btw kobe... you just won MVP cause the league felt sorry for your 30year old mvp-less ***

give it 2 more years and people will start jumping off the kobe bandwagon...

at least i can assure myself he isnt the best player in the league right now.. its LBJ

well I don't live in Sacto unfortunately... but if I lived I would def mess smth into his cheeseburgers! :D So STFU Kobe!

I'm not a Laker fan! What a jerkface. :D
Yeah, and this is the primary reason why I really dont like Kobe. I'll always respect his game, always have, and even when he's 50 yrs old he'll probably still be one of the top 5 players in the world, BUT...he's a cheating(on his wife), lying, arrogant peice of you know what, as a person. And just for the record Kobe, I'm a Kings fan of 25 years and dont own a wagon to join any bands, and NEVER will. Thank you.

Ditto. I will never be a Laker fan. I'll guarantee most of those Laker "fans" there last night were Laker bandwagon fans and/or Kobe jock-sniffers.
I'd say about 75% of them were, and wouldn't be able to tell you anything about the Lakers before Kobe got there. Whatever...

We made a decision on here a long time ago not to fire away on the sexual assault case or its outcome. Certainly not to use it as a taunt. I've had to delete several posts in here for content or language. Please desist.

We need to stop attacking people. The best way to get back at the Lakers is to win! Quite honestly, our team stink right now. There will always be Kobe fans everywhere. There is no stop to it and we can only overshadow it by winning more games. winning more games = more kings fans at Arco.

Yeah, I haven't and never will start the 'rapist' taunts, the fact is he was proven innocent in a court of law, and none of us were there or actually knew what happened. But he is a holier than thou admitted cheater though, and THAT is a proven fact. Anyway, life goes on... The world doesn't revolve around Kobe, as hard as that is for HIM to believe.:D

I think Kobe is a disgusting person but I am not going to get on him about being a cheater since I'd probably be unable to cheer half the NBA if I went by that criteria. MJ's extracurriculars are well documented and almost everybody loves him.

This all goes back to winning games. Winning games=more Kings fans to drown out the faux Laker fans. Work ethic counts too--the product on the court is now hardworking guys like Thompson and Hawes instead of run down veteran talents who lead nowhere, like it was early in the season. Doesn't help that the Lakers are on the top of the West, are based in California, and has mass appeal worldwide. I think they've had people cheer them on most of the time when they go on the road.

Technically, no. The criminal case was dropped by the prosecution after the victim declined to testify. The civil case was settled out of court. No court has ever issued (nor is ever likely to issue) a verdict concerning the incident.

But you're right in that we don't know. He has never been found guilty by a court, that is certain.

My response to all the people at Arco with Laker jerseys and gear is this....

1.) Where were you during the yrs after Shaq got traded and before Gasol given to the lakers?

2.) Make sure you still show up cheering as loud as you are now for the lakers a few yrs from now when the lakers aren't as good anymore. Or else, you just proved you are a bandwagon fan.

Seriously, thats why laker fans are called FAKER FANS by a lot of other cities. Too many bandwagon laker fans everywhere. But you know, once the Kings starts winning again, those guys will become Kings fans again. ;)

What an *******!!!

I hate Kobe, and like someone mentioned... what an arrogant ***.

And he will never, never ever be Michael Jordan. Sorry to point that out, but I hate the comparisons, and how some people say he's even better than MJ.

MJ has a heart no other basketball player will ever have. Not to mention, he was IMO an awesome person as well. People actually liked MJ. With Kobe, he actually has a fair amount of haters. :)

Sorry for pointing out the obvious, but it had to be done. ;)

Yeah and this is why I never buy it when Kobe says the rivalry is dead. He is a smart guy, he knows exactly what he is doing. So it is really no big deal.

If the rivalry was ever dead, which it wasn't - then he is certainly trying to revive it with comments like this.

More Laker fans showed up in Arco to watch their championship-caliber team than Kings fans showed up to watch 16-61.

Surprise? No. Sad? You bet.

But I'd like to ask Kobe where these comments were after they came into Arco and got beat in December. The answer of course would be nowhere to be found. But because they did their job last night (60-win teams are supposed to beat 60-loss teams), he can pour salt in the wound. And he jumped at the opportunity.

I actually grew up on the Lakers. I was originally a Laker fans. Not many teams will ever top show time. I was not a bandwagon fan, I grew up on them in the bay area. My family was just Laker fans.

About the time Kobe showed up and the attitude and feel of the team was changing I went luke warm on them, moved to Sac and evnentually became a Kings fan. It would have been VERY easy to go back to being a Lakers fan. The early part of this decade would have been more enjoyable, and it would be more enjoyable now. But, as long as attitudes like Kobe's are on the Lakers I can't be a fan.

kobe only spews this garbage because he doesn't get the respect and love that he really wants. Arrogant prick

I like Kobe. He's a pretty good basketball player.
I can very much admire the talent Kobe Bryant has and wish the Kings had someone like him..or LeBron James....or Dwayne Wade....or Dwight Howard....or Chris Paul.

But as long as I'm Kings fan (forever :)), I will never actively root for any other team or anybody on an opposing team while they are playing the Kings. I might choose sides in another contest to have some interest, but that doesn't make me a fan of the team I pick to root for in a game that doesn't really mean that much to me. Nor will I wear or own a jersey of another player or team.

There really had to be a different approach to answer whatever the question that sparked that comment.

Not to say that Kobe isn't arrogant on his own, but geez why kick the Kings fans when they're already down.

You can say you hate Kobe, and he is arrogant and all that. But the truth is that the Kings have been at the bottom of the league in attendance all year, and last night wasn't any different. We get 12-13 thousand kings fans a game, and last night lakers fans filled up the rest of the arena.

I don't like Kobe, but he is stating the obvious. If you don't like it, start buying tickets and go to the game. Or wait until the team improves enough to the point where you think they are worth the price of addmision. But the team has been sorry all year, and so has the attendance.

Is it just me, or does it seem like this forum is making much ado about nothing? There WAS a whole bunch of Lakers fans. They WERE noticable. Kobe just went ahead and pointed it out.

What did Kobe do? He sure got a lot of cheers. Who's fault is that? Is it his? Or is it Sacramento's fault that all these supposed die hard kings fans let Lakers fans drown them out?

Are we so pathetic that we have to latch onto a 2 second bit made by Kobe and try to tear him/Lakers down? This isn't a big deal. Let's worry about the Kings and not try to pretend there is a rivalry there. A one sided rivalry just makes the one initiating it look irrelevant.
