Bags should’ve been in there during that 6 min stretch where they only had one fg. You need consustent scoring in the paint during those droughts. At a minimum, do an offense/defense switch btn Bags n Holmes.

Bags was being totally misused. Instead of setting him up in the post to break the pressure they just had him dart back up to set guard screens. I'm totally befuddled here. This coaching staff is on both ends of the spectrum. They are either way ahead on adjustments or way, way, way behind.

Kings are consistently not showing up for poor teams. Haven't gotten out of the adolescent stage yet. Bjelica had only two rebounds in 27 minutes of play in this game. Totally unacceptable. Knicks outrebounded the Kings by seven.

Bogdan's 4/5 threes is not pathetic. He also created a lot 3s by other players which were missed.

Did you even watch the game?

He spent all the time in the late 3rd/early 4th throwing up trash (which is not unusual) but also throwing some of the worst, laziest passes I've ever seen from him when he wasn't throwing up trash (which IS unusual).

The entire bench reeked and was the main reason they threw that away.

I will say I have major faith in the coaching staff, but when the opposing coach takes away your perimeter game how do you not use a Barnes or Bagley to help break the pressure via a simple ball entry? This is starting to become a consistent issue. I figured that would change with Bagley coming back but unless tonight was a brain fart it appears to not have. If the Kings can't shoot out of their funk their toast and it shouldn't have to be that way. The Kings are trying to move bodies past the pressure with the ball in hand. Just move the ball instead. It's more efficient anyway.
Part of the issue is that the guards need to be willing to pass the ball off those curls rather than just keep pounding the ball when the quick shot isn't there. Defenses are going over those curls and our guards are panicking and playing like a bunch of zombie Kobes rather than passing and resetting.

I think it's best if I don't comment right now.

The comment I have is I’m far past tired of this team taking $#!/ teams lightly. It keeps happening and it needs to stop. 5-20 coming in is not my opinion. This Knicks team absolutely sucks.

The KINGS just effed around a majority of the game. No excuse for it.

They’re just intent on making sure they never get back to .500.

BS basketball. BS mentality.

That random hail mary pass that ended up midway up the lower bowl when a simple pass to his open man would have sufficed sorta sums up Bogi's night.

It's more than that unfortunately, they did show up and showed up hard. I have to give credit to Mike Miller. He's a good coach from what I saw. All game he was constantly looking for an answer. If you look at the basis of his defensive attack early it was all based on stopping Bjelica and Holmes. That allowed Buddy and the guards to go all world on him. He probably looked at tape from some other Kings games and switched up his defense to pressure the pick and roll and help up around the middle paint in the free throw line area. He even ran some of Waltons Harden stopping defense against him. Kings continued to force it into the defense via the perimeter and the game was lost as soon as the Kings refused to look inside.

Well I'm glad I missed this game....dont need the extra annoyance, actually the last full game I watched was the spurs. Maybe the team overlooking the knicks here. At least it wasnt a blowout.

half of that trash went into the basket.

It's a play call though. There is literally no decision making necessary in a post up call. Walton calls almost every play out on the sidelines. You swing the ball over, enter it, and the post entry passer runs through. The only one they called during the slide forced the Knicks to foul Bagley. Then it was right back to ***** footing around the perimeter.

Nope, not overlooking them, just went dead cold. Had a 16 point lead with 16:45 to go, and went 7-24 with 6 turnovers over the next 16:30. Clenched up after a while. Don't really know what to say.

Yeah, it's really the one issue I've had with Walton as a coach. We've seen those iso posts work to great effect with Harrison Barnes but the team just seems to forget to run them for games at a time.

Knowing the kings, no lead is safe. I just had that gut feeling when they were up 16. Instead of pushing it to the 20s, they let it go down to nine and well, the rest is history. Dirty, rotten, crappy, bs, taking the Knicks lightly, playing down to the opponent, losing history.
