KJ is very PC in his speeches I noticed. Making sure not to offend anyone.
Kevin Johnson gets my vote! Great news my bank and so many others stepped up. I was hoping for a bigger announcement though. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
I would hope so, he's a politician remember?KJ is very PC in his speeches I noticed. Making sure not to offend anyone.

The NBA said to Sac 'show me the money.' and we did! Making a down payment on our future as a permanent home to professional basketball."
Reading some of the comments at the bottom of the below article is pretty sad...
People are complaining that the major should be focused on unemployment etc
instead of basketball...Don't these idiots really that building an arena CREATES jobs?
You need to help create jobs if you going to help the unemployment...

Those are the same kind of negative nellies that infest the Bee's comment section. I try not to read them because that kind of small minded negative whining really pisses me off. All they do is throw out red herrings that have nothing to do with the Kings or an arena and you can't reason with them. It's like they actually think that building an arena means you have to let the rest of Sacramento's needs be neglected.

Yea, I almost created an account at KCRA, just so I could respond to those idiots....
They just don't get the impact it can have on Sacramento if the Kings do leave...
Hey, if they want to have their fun spending time commenting on the bottom of news article, sounds good to me. Someone let me know when they actually form any kind of group or rally.

I think I may sign up at all the local News sites and start battling with these people too. I hope more of us do, that would make it easier.
Been saying that for the long time and got shut down some people think its a waste of time. I dont, we need to be heard and let these ignorant people know that this is good for sac and also influence others why this is important.

Not so long ago there was a decent KingsFans contingent doing battle on the Bee website, but we (or at least I) got distracted when the focus of the fight changed a bit. If there's a season in Sacramento next year, I'm sure I'll be back over there.
I tried for a while, but I was bothered when comments started to be about me personally, especially when things were said that were untrue. I also felt like it just kept those trolls (moslty) posting, long past the time they might've quit. Following commenters in other news source places shows me the level of discussion is usually at the lowest common denominator and seems to be dominated by angry, bitter people, who apparantly haven't anything better to spend all day on.
I'll have to see. I may do hit and run posts so I don't get dragged into things so much. I just hate that they never admit that you've proven them factually wrong. They just ignore it and start in on some other tack. Or wait for the next article to post the same lies and/or distortions. It's not good for my mental health.
I think the groups we have now can have a bigger effect by doing things that are more public. What we have now that we didn't before is the support of some powerful and moneyed folks in the region. Now we just need to focus on the positives and keep momentum going. Be visible as much as possible.
