i really think you should make the get together an annual thing...maybe next time i can actually attend

I am thinking that we can plan 2 per year. Pick a long road stretch in the Fall and again after the All-Star game. It is fun when the Kings are on a long road stretch because people who usually attend ARCO are available and in Kings game withdrawal.

Oh, and then throw in a pizza party or two. That makes about 4 gatherings a year.........works for me!

In addition to existing kingsfans.com members, I think we'll have a couple of more join who were there to watch the game and ended up being adopted into the group. It was truly a fun time and one I would definitely think could become at least an annual event if nothing else.

Well the American river is only a quarter to half a mile from Players. You could've just walked down the street.

This was a standard cake from Raley's. The only problem was me "assuming" the decorator knew the Kings wear purple, hence the RED cake. Silly me...

FYI - I told Kingsgurl that I would send a thank you note to Jeff at Players for reserving the best area for us and giving us the 1st 4 pitchers free. Well, I finally got off my duff and got out to the store and purchased said card. Mailed it today. Told Jeff that we had a great time and thanked him for his kindness and generosity. I signed it on behalf of all KingsFans.com members who attended our "get-together." Just wanted you all to know.

p.s. He should be surprised to receive a thank you card from Illinois.
