KingsFans.com Get-together (Update)

Okay, the Kings will be on a very long (6 game) roadtrip in late Feb and early Mar. That is a very long time for Kings fans to be away from their Kings (at ARCO). So, it seems to me a perfect time to have a KingsFans.com get-together.

I am coming to Sacramento and am organizing a party for KingsFans.com members to meet and enjoy a televised Kings game together. We will have good food, fantastic camaraderie with our KingsFans.com family members, and lots of TV's for us to enjoy Kings basketball. Put it on your calendar.

Tipoff time and date: 3:00 Sunday, 27 Feb 2005
Place: Players (on Sunrise near Hwy 50)

Note: Kingsgurl will give address and directions. Keep an eye on this thread for details.

Try and be a little early so you don't miss the tipoff while we are doing a meet and greet.

The game should be over by 5:30 or 6:00, so you will be home in plenty of time to get your beauty rest for school or work the next day.

It's just across the river from Highway 50. If you are coming from the other direction down Sunrise, you will want to turn left on Fair Oaks Blvd, then right on the next st to get into the Parking lot, as Sunrise has a divider at that point.

Please note that there is a SECOND Players that is ON Fair Oaks Blvd (the other way)

Why don't you just use the KingsFans.com Get-together (Update) thread instead of creating another thread. Some people may sign in twice (once in this thread as well as the other thread) and it might get confusing when counting how many people will attend...IMO.

I thought about that, Rock, but I did not see where I could put a poll in now that the other thread is already going. I will ask VF to either merge these (if possible with the poll) or sticky this with the other one.

I am hoping we don't duplicate. That is why I made this a public poll.

I would prefer the poll be for those who are planning to attend. Of course, unforseen circumstance can always change that. For those who are not sure, I suggest waiting until closer to the day of the "party" when they might have a better idea.

Well, in that case, I expect you to mark it on your calendar and...BE THERE! Not only am I flying some 2,000 miles (or so), but I'll be driving from off of I-5 south of downtown Sac. It'll take me 30 min to get out there.....maybe.

iheartBrad, I lived in Sacramento for 23 years and consider it my home (even though I am currently living in my childhood hometown). I very much want to go home. I have been here in Illinois more than long enough.

Having said all that. My trip to Sac is really a job search trip.....at least this time.
