Ask your own question of course, but I am going to put together half a dozen or so designed specifically to elicit either a preferred response, or to hang him wiht his own words. Since they won;t let you ask followups, a key is going to be in framing the questions, and using public statements already made to pin him down and force him to acknowledge or improvise. Maybe he even panics and lets something slip.

I think handled correctly the right questions can slice through a lot of the B.S. and get to interesting points.
Each representative will most likely only get one question.

One thing that I hope doesn't happen is that this thing turns into a giant cluster f*** meet and greet to where between so many people being there and the constraints of morning drive radio.......not a whole lot of substance actually gets addressed.

Morning sports radio has a lot of breaks for commercials, traffic, and sports news that I fear these segments could be pretty short. I think we'll find out how serious they are by whether or not they let segments run long or they constantly go to break. What you don't want to hear is as soon as Pete gets asked a tough question, Dave or Keith says "Let's get to that after the break, here is Nascar Mike D. with traffic"

If you're looking for a "whole lot of substance" you're going to be vastly disappointed. To my knowledge this has never been done before. The mere fact that PDA reached out to Dave to even talk about any of this is IMHO an indication they do know they vastly underestimated the impact this would have on the fanbase and they're trying to see if they can mollify us by answering a few questions.

This also tells me they do not yet understand the passion and commitment of Kings fans, but I think they will after Monday morning. I do not expect any earth-shattering revelations to come out of this endeavor but I do believe the front office will come away from it with the understanding we are not like any other fans they have ever encountered, and we took the "This is your team" comment to heart.

If we actually only get answers to one or two questions, that will be more than we had Sunday night. I'm pretty confident that with the fan reps being assembled, we'll at least ask the right questions. Whether PDA answers them or tries to dodge them is up to him. I hope he realizes platitudes and canned phrases will not get it done. And the call-in questions? I've listened to Dave's show enough to know his callers can be brutal. It will be interesting at the very least.

Definitely going to be interesting and has the potential to be ground breaking if they really give them time and allow the real tough questions to be asked and answered. Depending on how it is handled I think it will tell everybody a lot about Pete.

If I only had one question, which I agree with Brick - is ridiculous and plays to PDA's hands, I would ask him this:
"Under what circumstances would you hold yourself accountable and resign from your position in the organisation?"
(kindly provide specific and measurable criteria).

Good luck to our representatives!

PDA underestimates the fans and overestimates his abilities to win them over, especially without the ability to follow up on questions. If I had the ability to assemble the representatives, I'd create a template with 10 questions, each with follow-ups depending on how he answered. Each person wouldn't get to ask "their own question", but it would be a good way to keep him on his toes. Be prepared with a backup question or 3, please, in case someone already asks your question. Be prepared.

Personally, I'm expecting platitudes and half-answers. No real accountability, but a reinforcement of the line, "the fans deserved a different style of play" edict. Any acknowledgement of an error will be framed as, "we have the best fans in the business, and we will do our best to give them a team worthy of that by the time the downtown arena is open."

Question for PDA: Is defense still a priority for the Kings future plans? Don't you know defense wins championships? For example, teams like the Spurs play defense as well as the Lebron James Miami Heat played defense also.

Let me give you a preview of Pete Monday morning:

"First of all I want to thank KHTK and Dave here for allowing this Radio question/answer event to take place. Wow, the passion of the Fans is really inspiring:) Vivek, Chris and myself are humbled with the amount of vocal fan response to our meager decisions. Sacramento really does have the greatest Fans on Earth. I want to thank each and every one of you for taking time from your busy schedules to come down to the studio today and being a part of this wonderful gathering. Vivek wanted me to gather the Best, Brightest and Smartest to help the Kings organization be 4 moves ahead of the rest of the NBA. Mully wanted to add that one time Nellie told him that Fan input is what made him decide to play small ball and run, run, run and create Run TMC. When I was in Denver a couple of Fans suggested the whole fast paced game the Nuggets played. So we are here today to gather input to move forward with NBA 3.0, 4 on 5 Defense and a special secret that Vivek used when he coached his daughters team. This is really good, you see what Vivek is suggesting is..............................................."

I completely and totally agree.

I'd ask him this question: since Malone was winning before cousins got ill, and you've said numerous times about "style" of play as a reason for his firing, why choose "style" over wins?
The reason i formulated this question is that this particular question doesn't necessarily need a follow up. I mean if he chooses "style" over wins then he just proved how stupid the FO is. If he said they choose wins over style then that is an outright lie when compared to all their prior statements esp about the Malone firing, if they say they want wins AND style then it shows their approach hasn't worked.

Really, the way they botched things up, they have no answer to this question, except perhaps: Vivek and Mully made me do it.

One way he can answer that is by saying that: new style = wins. He will have to back that up, and it seems hard to do so (or is it not?)

Another way he can answer is by saying that he and Malone had different philosophies on how to win. He might say that even though Malone was winning (he probably won't explicitly say this), the front office wanted to win in a different way. He will conclude that the front office is still and always has been committed to winning and that this controversial move is no different from this FO's previous controversial moves.

tl;dr Change in style = closer to winning. He will try to destroy any need to chose between the two.

Does pete feel his job should be on the line if the Kings don't show improvement this season? With the exception of Cousins and Thompson, a majority of the roster are players he brought in. Does he take any responsibility for the team's recent poor play?

Why did Pete throe this season away when firing Malone with no backup plan? :Who takes responsibility for this season going down the drain since Malone's departure?

It's too late to submit any more questions. If you want to ask Pete, you'll have to try and get through tomorrow morning to Dave's show. :)

Pete: "blah blah... in the long term... blah blah"
I think the one thing people need to remember is all the folks who will be there in person are NOT going to be satisfied with platitudes. They're there to get some real answers and I don't think "blah blah" generalities will fly at all.

I will have a post today on the cbs website outlining tomorrow. I'll link it on Twitter.

I think it will take care of any questions about where priorities lie....
