[Game] Kings @ Warriors 3/6/13

Kingster

Hall of Famer
The same Douglas who was the biggest reason we were in the game by taking out and limiting the GSW's best player? While also moving the ball well and making the correct play 9/10 times. If anyone was allowed to take a dumb shot it was him, and really the shot was not horrible it was a make-able shot for Douglas.

However if our two best players don't take over 15+ boneheaded shots we win that game easily

Yep.:(

No it really wasn't, because we had nobody else we could count on either. Thornton was sucking eggs. Salmons was sucking eggs. Cousins was sucking eggs and benched. I've seen Isaiah and that situation and don't want to again. Douglas had already shown us his own particular version od the play. So who was left? Patterson, JT, Hayes? Like I said you try to run plays for those guys and miss everybody hits you up for being an idiot too. They aren't guys who can create and hit big shots. So...Reke on a bad night is no worse an option than anything else you had going on this particular night. At least he's done it before, he had a pretty good defensive matchup, and frankly tunnel vision or not he was leading the team in assists. I wasn't sure what we were going to run, but I'm not sure I don't try the same thing with the twist that I start Reke on the wing instead of up top, with instructions to kick it to spot up shooters in the corner or opposite wing if he didn't have a lane. Patterson was open on the play btw in the corner, although Reke did not have an angle or eyes on him.

A couple of weeks ago against Miami Reke, Thornton and Cousins were all sitting on monster highly efficient games, and the coach twice called end of reg/end of OT plays for Isaiah Thomas rather than our three best players who were all like 11-18 and stuff. That was terrible coaching. Tonight...there were no good options.
On this team, Thornton is the ONLY option. I don't care how bad of a game this guy is having. He has proved time and time again that he is elite clutch at the end of games.

Going to Reke on that last play was an idiotic coaching move. Reke hadn't gotten by Klay Thompson off the dribble all night and that's what the coach drew up.

I'd rather Thornton just throw up a wink and a prayer than Tyreke barrel down the lane and try and draw a foul with 2 seconds on the clock. This team is just chocked full of low IQ idiots.

100% agree. completely boneheaded to not draw up a play to get Thornton a shot on the last possession. regardless of how hes playing, but the fact hes been on fire over the last couple weeks makes it look even worse for mr. Smart
