[Game] Kings vs T-Wolves 1/16/12

Still running a little bit too much iso and we're not getting Cousins involved in the low block consistently to get him rolling down there, but it's improved. Please keep moving the ball.

I can see us having problems stopping someone like Love, but Ridnour is getting whatever he wants

It's criminal how much of an afterthought Cousins becomes in our offense at times.

While there is truth to this, it's also true that Cousins rarely makes the effort to get on the block and wait for the ball. Probably nineteen times out of twenty, if he doesn't get the ball in the post on the very first dribble, he gives up. And he shouldn't be getting the ball up top, either: too many chances to make a mistake from out there.

I do not like John Salmons. I have never liked John Salmons. He is as selfish now as he has ever been. The idiot thinks he can score 1 on 4. Will he pass the ball. Oh no! Not nearly often enough.

I think just as bad is the coach not pulling him.

I don't think the offense improves until Chuck Hayes returns. Not for his O but for his passing and screens out of high post plus overall court leadership.

You're right -- I guess I should've been more clear in saying it's criminal how underused he is in the low post. It's mostly to do with the fact that our guards are trigger happy, but a part of it also has to do with the need for Cousins to be more assertive and, dare I say it, demanding when he's down on the block.

Regardless, this team is in major need of recalibrating when it comes to its hierarchy and priorities on offense.
