NBA.com TV Companion says McLemore just got his second assist on a Cauley-Stein dunk. Nice to see him doing something else to help out on offense.

I hope Cuz can see that he's not a PF..he just isn't... I have no doubt in my mind that he's the one who wants to play further away form the basket. I just don't understand WHY. He's arguable the #1 center int he game..if he goes to PF, he's not even a top 5 PF. I just don't get why he regards himself so much of a PF.
Cuz can think whatever he wants. It's still mainly a coach and his system which dictates where and when players get the ball.

Cal told Cuz in college, get your ass in the post, no perimeter play. What was the result? Cuz got his ass in the post and there was no perimeter play. If Karl didn't want Cuz straddling the 3pt line, he wouldn't. If the offense was focused around Cuz in the post or off the elbow, he wouldn't be straddling the 3pt line looking for kickouts, spotting up and being a screen setter.

It's not like Karl is running an offense centered around getting Cuz the ball box or elbow and running the system thru him. Everything we've seen suggests this thing is built around Rondo handling in a dribble drive offense. That's a systematic issue. There is good there with Rondo but we sure as **** need balance.

As Brick keeps pointing out, there's no evidence Karl knows how to use a player like Cuz. Flat out never has, in any capacity. And really, a dribble drive offense makes no sense with guys like Rudy/Cuz.

But Karl and Cousins haven't had a very good relationship. One of them is expendable..and I think we can both agree that it is Karl. Cuz is the franchise player and if he's unhappy about the way he's being used, he's going to voice it to the ownership. At this point, it's almost like Karl HAS to allow Cuz at least SOME leeway and control in order to keep him happy. They have to continue to build their relationship. They didn't trust eachother coming in. What makes you think Cuz respects Karl the way he respected Cal?

I think it's on both Cuz and Karl..but it's not the situation like Indiana where the Pacers HC is making George play PF. George expressed a few disagreements with it. With the Kings, Cuz has actively said since his 1st year that he's a PF. He's also recently said that he didn't like the fact that we didn't have a big who could bang down low and do all the work. (I think this was talking about how he likes playing with JT). So it's not like Karl has waved his magic wand and made Cuz play out in the perimeter..

The fault lies on both player and coach. Karl has never coached a big man as talented as Cuz. Cuz wants to play PF. We'll probably see more adjustments into the season.

The most frustrating thing about preseason for me so far is the assist ratio. Mainly from Gay and Cuz. You have two players capable of drawing a double team and they rarely are in a position to utilize it. We've seen too many years of too many teams with fans wishing for even one player that can do that for it to go to waste like this.

League pass audio for me keeps dying... but from the box score it seems like Rudy, Collison and Koufos have been key to the comeback?

So.... Rudy is now our 20/10 big, and Cuz is the inefficient stat jacker?

Inneresting..... I guess....

I'd rather have a starting lineup with Rudy at the 4 and Casspi at the 3,...vs any other lineup that has Cousins playing the 4. Bring both Willie and Koufos off the bench, if that's what it takes

The fact that we barely won this game with their entire rotation out hurts a tiny bit...:
Tyreke
Asik
Gordon
Pondexter
Cole
Babbit
Ajinca

At least it's nice to see Collison finish out much stronger. Casspi looks like he had a good game

not necessarily true. he forced Carmelo to get his butt in the pain and post up way more than he ever did

If Cousins really wants to, so can he. can't put it all on Karl

All he has to do, is make a public statement that he knows it would be better for the team, if he played inside as much as possible

If this offense stays having Cousins shoot threes, unemployment should be calling George Karl.
I don't like cousins out high. Let me say that first, BUT the offense is flowing nicely and cousins down low is h
There when we need it. We have seen that for 5 years. having said that if I were coach I would use it to my advantage in changing the offense during games to put cousins down low. Change it up don't let the other team get comfortable in guarding you. If you get a team guessing as little as 3-4 possessions in a game that could make a difference how many games did we lose by 3-5 points last year?
