Times changed, ehKingKong said:Kings need to control the pace or Lakers might just run us over with their new found athleticism. We can beat them easily in the half court set but the Lakers are going to want to run.

Preseason play against guys who are no longer even in Kings uniforms...
That won't happen even if the Kings play the enitire game with their backups. And something tells me that they won't. On second thought they should play their second stringers quite a bit and give the Lakers a little bit of hope and let them think that they can catch up with us.KA_2 said:Lakers by at least 30.
They just finished showing Game 4 of the 2002 WCF when Horry hit the game winning 3-point shot - the Lakers were a very different team then. The good ol' days... As far as this thread, as much as I like the Lakers to win, the Kings have won 6 games in a row, and are getting their grove. The Kings might pull it off but I'm going with my boys - Lakers by 6.bibbyweb said:On second thought they should play their second stringers quite a bit and give the Lakers a little bit of hope and let them think that they can catch up with us.
You're right...it'll probably be more like a 40 point blowout.bibbyweb said:That won't happen even if the Kings play the enitire game with their backups. And something tells me that they won't. ...Eh, not really... Even in '02 we were really not "athletic" or a running team.outsider62 said:Times changed, eh![]()
Seriously speaking, when they traded Shaq I had said that they wouldn't be as bad as most of the others thought. And I even agree that they might have a shot at the playoffs. So it should be a good game.KA_2 said:
But seriously, I expect a very close game. The Kings have been poor on the road this year, while the Lakers have played extremely well at home. Add in the fact that this is Vlade's former team and that the Lakers will be pumped to beat their first good Western team this season, and you can expect a close game for sure.
I pick the Lakers to win by 5, though, as Odom has historically owned Webber quite badly (especially last season), and because the Lakers' pick and roll D on Bibby is much improved with Mihm and Odom able to come out and show much better than Shaq did on picks.
That's fine. And I'll be here, "minding the store."Gargamel said:If LA wins, I'm gonna come in here and troll. How's that?
