[Game] Kings v. Suns - Saturday, Jan. 2 - 2 PM PT, 5 PM ET

uh what?

The only guy Ben has shot priority over on this team is WCS (of guys in the normal rotation). Nobody looks to get him any looks.
No it's cool. Even in a win, people find ways to crap on Ben. Even calling him a weaksauce lol.
Anybody with eyes would've saw that Ben and Cousins were our only defenders tonight...

Very ironic that this site pleads for more defense, but craps on Ben because he brings us more defense than offense.

I have fond memories of my mother's PB&J sandwiches in little brown paper sacks too, but unfortunately then I, like everybody else, had to grow up and start taking care of myself. Its possible Ben can't. He struggles to create himself, and he does not have Belinelli's saavy off the catch. If he were Tony Aleln hen he'd be doing other things. As it is, he's in a league where everybody else at his position can do one or more of those things, create or defend, or find ways to get himself open, and Ben is left behind to just "play hard" and hope for an inattentive defender.

Ben has had many, many great looks this year and has clanked many of those opportunities. He needs to work harder and step his game up to get more.

I think at this point his best case scenario is a "3 and D" guy off the bench, maybe playing 15-20 min at best.

He's also incredibly gun-shy for a guy with the second best deep ball % on the team. He's averaging 5 deep shot attempts per 100 possessions, a career low for somebody who has always had trouble with taking advantage of opportunities.

I'm not the biggest B mac fan but I agree, his effort on defense is big for the team.

I wish he was more agressive with his shots. But thats
nothing to sneeze at.

And it's misleading as hell. He takes very few shots, even when they're set up for him. He needs to visit the Wizard of Oz and find some courage...

That's completely ridiculous.

Actually its pretty close to a flat lie, except I know people out there have gone so far down the path of fantasy that they actually believe these things. I feel sorry for Ifat1st being completely outflanked at his own conspiracy theory game.

Your comment is completely ridiculous and your analysis is false and you're delusional characterization is evidenced by the facts of the game. I guess you can't make a blind man see. Good luck.

Oh yes.

Your problem is your spite has infected your observation so badly that Cuz couldn't kiss a puppy without ulterior motives in your mind.

I will not even bother to ask you to explain how Boogie's tank job goes only part time, and he decides to occasionally dominate games like tonight rather than finish Karl off. I guess he's just that perverse.

Or more realistically your analysis, such as it is, is that perverse.

More important question is ... do we need to? To which I feel the answer is not really. Ben isn't there for his offense other than to space the floor with the occasional bucket. I thought that trying to get Rudy going in the start of the 3rd was an interesting choice ... led to us losing a bit of the lead but it worked out in the end. I do like that we're trying to get more guys involved.

Cuz has talent and should have dominated his 6'6" defender tonight. Leadership and character show up when we face our darkest times. Only then can you sing the praises of his maturity on the court.

I can live w a SG that doesn't shoot a lot what we need is an aggressive defender. Doug Christie had plenty of courage despite not filling his ppg

The ball movement was there for the first time in quite some time I must say. Lots of players passed up open shots for better shots. It's one game so not much to get excited about really. Cousins actually hit some jump shots which just opened his game up exponentially...when he isn't hitting them, it's tough sledding.

This.
It's gonna take a helluva lot more than crushing a crapty suns team to erase how they closed out 2015.

This team is good at one thing. Inconsistancy. Im done with getting excited and feeling upbeat one game and being kicked in the nuts the next. Show some consistent growth and smart play on both sides of the ball and ill start believing.

People have to get over that at some point.

If you are such weaksauce that every single one of your teammates is somehow being given opportunities but you are not, maybe you should look in the mirror.

I like Ben, but I have to agree. You can take that principle and apply it to a rookie, like a Nik Stauskas, but not to a player that's in his third year in the NBA. If he's not getting enough touches, then he needs to go to Rondo and tell him to give me the fricking ball. My problem with Ben in college, and it's continued in the NBA, is his lack of aggression. He's a very nice kid, but he's too nice on the court. He needs a blood tranfusion from Cousins.

Which brings me to my next point. This is the best all around game I've seen from Cuz in a long time, and if he can continue to approach every game the same way, he'll win back my support. He was smiling and appeared to be having fun. I can't remember one time in the game where he didn't get back in transition. I'm not saying, nor do I expect him to be the first one back, but I do expect him to hustle to the best of his ability. When he had a conversation with the ref's, he did it in a dead ball situation, which I have no problem with. Hell, he even had a kumbaya moment with Karl, which was nice to see. This is the Cousins we should be seeing every game, and that's what I expect from him. So kudo's to him and the rest of the team. It wasn't perfect, but it was fun to watch.

Ben starts the 1st and 3rd quarters then is seldom seen again in most games. Playing with Rondo, Cousins, Gay and Casspi how many touches is Ben going to get? Then Collison and Belinelli come in and who takes the shots?
