it might be time Vlade have a sit down with Joerger about all these minutes being played for slow-bo. the dude has played 26 minutes and has attempted the most shots with 12
I'm not sure what the goal is with Joerger, but winning may not be the primary goal. Randolph can score in the post but is abused on the defensive end. I think someone wrote he just wants to find a consistent performer or something to that effect.

I'm sorry, but I don't think I've ever seen a rebuild fumbled as bad as this. Still time though, this might be all about the pick and a brilliant tank job. If it is, time to ditch it, you're devaluing almost every player on your roster right now.

I'm fine with winning not being the goal for the season, players and coaches don't intentionally try to lose but they do however can help that in playing a 36 year old PF 25+ MPG trying to run up and down the court with all these players that are lighter and faster than ever before.

I respectfully have to disagree. Without inside knowledge, I would say that having traded a top player and resetting only last (Feb?) ASB, if the goal is a pick, wins may be secondary.

Mason comes in the game and produces. Plain and simple. The four years he spent in college help him tremendously, he's played in his fair share of big collegiate games and tournaments. He doesn't look phased at all out there, his only detriment is his height.
I may have said before, he reminds of Jameer Nelson somewhat in style of play.

No doubt they are secondary, or as with any rebuilding team not even the issue. The issue is individual productivity and developing assets. It's what rebuilding teams usually do.

Couldn't agree more. He plays fearless and poised. I also think Jackson looked good in his brief stint.
Skal however, has me scratching my head.

We have to walk an incredibly fine line in this rebuild - be bad enough to get a future all-star in the 2018 draft, then hope to be good enough to give up only a mid-teens pick in the 2019 draft. As a computer named Joshua once said: "A strange game. The only winning move is not to play."

Good team, no. Bad team with some good players? Should be. Time for him to find a rotation and stick with it. If he doesn't see what's going on by now, they have a serious problem on their hands.

I think Fox will be end up being very good within 2 years.. All Star quality, I am not sure. no one is.

This team is just painful to watch on the offensive side of the ball. They just can't score enough to win. I'm not saying the defense is good, cause it's not. But they at least have some potential on that side of the ball and can play defense in spurts. But they can't put the ball in the hoop to save their basketball lives.

Yes. Team desperately needs Top 4 pick. Losing is imperative. Their are a lot of bad teams this year. So, any kind of winning streak will severely hamper any chances of falling somewhere in that tier.

Honestly... his in-game commentary doesn't bug me THAT much. I despise the guy because of his radio show and radio show personality.

One of my favorite movies. I agree, I was thinking in the 16 range would be feasible and less of a sting. However like you said, it is quite the tightrope to walk, and all the acrobats need to step perfectly.

Ah, but you still standout individual performers who were used in a way that allowed them to stand out to some extent. Right now you are watching a platoon split between end of their career players, veteran role players, and young players who are all repeatedly yanked in and out of the game. Hence my entire issue with the handling of the team at the moment. I was nervous about Joergers explanation of how he was going to run his rotation and so far, almost every specific concern of mine is being realized.
Here's what I said on September 18th:
"You'll lose the team fast with that kind of rotation, no team survives minutes distribution like that, at least over a long period of time. That type of coaching is what led Bonzi to the Kings. It also tanks player value because none of them are able to hit statistical productivity levels that wows opposing GM's. The super young guys like Skal and Papa can survive reduced roles and players like Zbo and Carter doesn't expect to play major minutes everyone else will be caught in the middle.
Sometimes trying to pack all the ingredients into one cake just ruins it."
I'll just say this, I saw it potentially being something like this, but nothing this extreme.
Outside of the indignity of giving up a good draft pick, if we are bad enough in 2018-2019 to give up a top draft pick AND don't get that draft pick, that means our rebuild will last until the 2020-2021 season at the least.
