Would you consider yourself a casual fan? I would classify casual as a fan who watches a few games here or there. Maybe goes to a game every year. I would never consider someone who calls into a radio show or posts on messages boards casual fans myself.
I agree with you. That's why I believe that most "casual fans" as you describe don't really care for DMC because all they see and hear are the negative stories about him.
Typically the 2nd quarter is the dreaded one. Maybe you know something I don't?
I offered this to another poster who made the same claim a month ago and he ignored me. I'll bet you any reasonable sum of money that if I called up Grant's show and told the screener that I'd like to talk positively about DMC that I'd be allowed on the air. Care to take me up on that bet?
We probably should get the ball to the guy who is scoring.
You don't understand science.
Just because you could possibly do that still doesn't mean that Grant takes an accurate sample of opinions. It also doesn't mean that people with mildly positive opinions are as likely to call in as people who have complaining opinions about Cousins. When you have a complaint is when you are more likely to want to call in and make a stink on the air.
Even if you could get on the air with a milk toast positive opinion about Cuz does not prove that 1. Grant takes an accurate sample and 2. Even from his available callers to screen from does that represent the same percentage of opinions of Kings fans.
These are basic scientific principles.
This makes no sense. So what about 10 years ago when the Kings were the best team in the league? 99% of callers called and talked about how awesome the Kings were.
Kings starters:
Reke 1-7
IT 1-7
JT 1-5
Salmons 1-4
Cousins 7-12

However, you claim this as evidence of your point of view that because more callers on Grant's show complain about Cuz than compliment Cuz, that most Kings fans agree with your negative opinion of Cuz. What I'm telling you is that that is not valid evidence.
Nope. Infractions are for personal insults, etc. Your PERSONA on this board appears to echo the sentiments of Grant Napear AND you try to validate it by citing the number of callers he gets that subscribe to your (and his) opinion of Cousins. That's not a personal insult. Based on your posts here on that topic, it's pretty much a statement of fact. You're ridiculous. I blindly follow Grant and drink his kool-aid, huh? You know, you would give out one of your little "infractions" for saying stuff like that. Of course, you're a huge hypocrite so it's okay for you to say stuff like that.
You asked about casual fans and I gave you evidence of what I would judge to be casual fans calling into Grant's show. Then you ignore my valid argument and try to insult me.
By the way, I actually can't stand Grant. I listen to it because he's on during my commute and I love the Kings. Same reason I post on these boards.
It would appear that IT is pretty much untouchable. He is going to get his minutes no matter how bad he plays.
In the last few years Grant has really been the company man, more so than usual.

I didn't ignore your argument, I disputed its value. Callers to the Grant Napear show are screened, as has been mentioned above, AND any number of the younger, more jock-riding group tend to call in to try and curry favor with Grant (for whatever reason) by feeding into his diatribes.
Whether you like or dislike Napear makes no difference to me whatsoever. What matters to me is that I strongly think he's as wrong in how he's treating Cousins as he was in his dishonest comments about Bobby Jackson and Chris Webber.
I don't disagree but I feel like since the Maloofs made it public they were selling he's kind of just said what he thinks now. There has been way more negative DMC talk on his show since they made the agreement with Seattle than before. Why would the Kings want to make DMC look bad in public? Why would that be their company position? It certainly wouldn't help them sell tickets, that's for sure.
Oh I forgot to yell "Go QUINCY!" NorCal players represent!
Talk about a flashback. My first thought was, "Douby is back?"
