[Game] Kings v. Bucks - 12/18/14 - 7pm pst, 10pm est

That today was the first time since the Thunder game I can say the players literally played with zero pride out there.

On a really positive note Ben added a wrinkle to his game that Monta Ellis like off the move windmill lay up he did like 3 times worked extraordinarily well, if he adds that with his movement off the ball and athletic ability that is just pure nasty.

No matter how bad things get thank god I get to watch Cousins and Mclemore develop into fine NBA players.

I watched those moves multiple times:) The first time Ben did it I was freaking out!!! He just froze the defenders when he brought the ball up high. I loved it:)

Yeap, I just love watching anything in it's developmental stages and every once it a while it surprises you with something new that makes you go all warm inside. That seriously looked like a bigger Monta Ellis a couple times.

At this point "win now" mode in the West is not a option, Dallas (who some thought could drop out) just got Rondo and the Thunder are making the playoff no matter what, if we are winning now mode it's for the 9th spots.

This is not the East when you are 4-5 games below 500. and your a 1 man team your not making any noise. Unless we bring in Durrant/Westbrook or LeBron it's to much ground to make up.
I agree with you. But it seems like a lot of fans here will not accept the losing. If we would like to win now and stay competitive(doubtful we'd even have a chance at 8th seed), we'd have to make a lot of trades.

I wish I could say that about Stauskas. I've been really excited about him, but expected a mini role from him. Nothing more than 20-18mpg. He hasn't really shown any flashes of brilliance. I remember in Ben's rookie year, he wasn't as passive as Nik is currently. We knew Ben could make this shots, he just had to be more confident in it.

Nik right now, looks a little dazed out there. There's not too many +++s about him so far. His ceiling is still high, but the rookie development is hard to watch.

Yeah, while Ben has been a good lesson in not giving up on someone too early, he at least showed brief flashes of ridiculous athleticism and potential every once in a while. In Nik's case, he's shown absolutely nothing that would suggest he should have been taken in the first round, let alone the lottery.

I'm not giving up on Nik by any means. It's just that I'm not sure he has a place in the team's current pecking order and his minutes off the bench are a constant turd sandwich.

Yep. Even good ol Jimmer had some eye-opening games as a rookie, and his %s weren't nearly as bad as Nik's are right now. Hope Nik gets it going soon.

Has anybody looked at the stats? Never seen anything like this, but I don't want to draw any far reaching conclusions from it. All the Kings players were on + on the +/- column except Landry (-18), Sessions (-20) and Stauskas (-11). There were only 4 players on the + of the Bucks and all of them from the bench.

IMHO the problem with the bench is defense. None of the trio Landry, DWill, and Sessions is a particularly valuable defensive player. Unfortunately Omri and Reggie were not playing. That would probably have been enough to take this home.

Don't get too warm and fuzzy, PDA will trade BMac for a more exciting product

Does it bother you that absolutely every decently knowledgeable member of this board has figured this out, and our front office is oblivious?

I agree. Ben gave us something to cheer about with his dunks. Nik was a good handler at Michigan, but I don't think it's translating in the NBA... I'm not giving up on Nik either, but I hope he starts making his 3pters. We all know he can shoot, but we're waiting for it.

If Nik continues to miss or turn over the ball anytime he gets it, his teammates will stop giving it to him. I think he lacks a lot of confidence.

I don't think Nik was a bad pick at all. Honestly, a lot of rookies this year are either injured, or struggling. The best rookies thus far are KJ McDaniels, Bojan Bogdanovic, Andrew Wiggins, and Tarik Black.

It makes me feel better about Nik...
