[Game] Kings v. Bucks - 12/18/14 - 7pm pst, 10pm est

If by produced more you mean bad shots and boneheaded plays than yes. Even if you convinced them to take dwill/Landry, you've still spent an extra 7M each year on a guy that really doesn't fit any need for us. It's an nba2k move.

Sounds like the perfect move for PDA then!

This is why you give Gay the last shot. I'm looking at the people who bashed malone for doing it. A perimeter player has a better chance of getting a higher % shot

Smith can be solid if he stays at pf. Look at his atl days. And I don't think it can get more boneheaded than jt and d will

Are you ****ing kidding me? The defense and the design on that last play were the most disgraceful thing I have ever seen, pathetic we had Jared Dudley blowing by guys and other players just leaving him wide open. Honestly if this is the kind of effort we are going to play with on defense under new coaching just tank, losing to a Bucks team without Parker and half there roster on the end of a back to back.

I literally want to throw up every time I see Landry/Sessions and Nik playing defense. We literally would be better off playing 4 on 5 when any of these 3 are on the floor.

The amount of forced plays my god, we just kill ourselves every damn game with stupidity. I remember saying in that thread (predict our record)we have not shown the ability to be 500. and below teams at all this year.

Before you guys panic, just remember that it was the same deal late in games with Malone.

Under Malone this would have been a blowout. How do you punish a team playing 3 guards and undersized novice bigs when you happen to have the best post player in the world and a physical beast in Landry? Run, Run, Run, everyone can run. Boogie's first game back with low stamina? RUN! A frontline of Jared Dudley and a rookie playing his second NBA game? RUN!

Not supposed to post anything with language but lately every time I think of PDA and "jazz" it reminds me of the piano scene from forgetting sarah Marshall. Just check out "Peter you suck" on YouTube.

It's been a couple of years since that and his physical skills seem to he declining quickly. Plus it's a big difference guarding the big 4s in the west.

Boy the Kings defense is sure awesome in this new exciting NBA3.0 phase 2 Jazz band basketball.

Lost to a depleted Bucks team at home with Cousins back and beasting

Whats the excuse now?

Maybe Vivek is "smart" tanking. PDA can't speak two sentences without saying "when we're at new building." Maybe FO is designing this collapse for a reason. Get in lottery again with hopefully top 5 pick to position for "the new building"2016-17.

The right guy had the ball in his hands at the end; he made the wrong decision with it.
You don't want Cousins with the ball 22 feet away from the rim he's easy to double there with smaller players to pester him, I don't understand why he is catching it there and Cousins jump shooting off the dribble is terrible (he's a solid set shooter), a fade-away 20 something footer off the bounce is not the shot you want to take. Even if Cousins catches and tries to make a drive he's not fleet foot enough to get by three guys with better quickness coming down to swarm him.

At some point Darren Collison has to start dominating the ball, he's letting Rudy Gay take over way to much, Collison is the best decision maker on the team he's being underutilized. Darren Collison needs to be given great responsibility with Cousins there he defers way to much.

So where do we go from here? I gotta feeling we regressed and unless PDA can get us a stud at the 4 and a solid guard off the bench, it's gonna be the same old ish

B-Jax did a good analysis on that last play. They forced Collison to go out too wide for the inbound, then Zaza pushed Cousins up near the 3pt line. It literally gave Cousins only one option.

I think a lot of credit should be given to the Bucks on that last play.

I never said he caught it in the right spot...

Than the right guy didn't have it in his hands, what's the point of giving it to the right guy if he's not a in spot where he can get a high % shot (at that point he's not the right guy in particular when he's coming off 10 games missed and no doubt suffering serious fatigue). If Collison could not get it deeper into Cousins he should have gone.

To often this year we are putting guys in situations where the failure outcome is like 80-90%.

I feel like if we are really in a "win now" mode, we have to do a few trades.
At this point "win now" mode in the West is not a option, Dallas (who some thought could drop out) just got Rondo and the Thunder are making the playoff no matter what, if we are winning now mode it's for the 9th spots.

This is not the East when you are 4-5 games below 500. and your a 1 man team your not making any noise. Unless we bring in Durrant/Westbrook or LeBron it's to much ground to make up.

Doesn't matter if it was a bad shot because it was an exciting shot.

NBA 3.0

That today was the first time since the Thunder game I can say the players literally played with zero pride out there.

On a really positive note Ben added a wrinkle to his game that Monta Ellis like off the move windmill lay up he did like 3 times worked extraordinarily well, if he adds that with his movement off the ball and athletic ability that is just pure nasty.

No matter how bad things get thank god I get to watch Cousins and Mclemore develop into fine NBA players.

I don't agree that that's how it works: Cousins is the guy that should be making the decision in that situation. The ball should have been in his hands. He was much further from the basket than he should have been when he got the ball, but that doesn't mean that he shouldn't have had he ball, it means he should have been closer to the basket when he got the ball.

I knew there was a issue from the day when Vivek was talking about putting the best "product" on the floor. This isn't some computer generated robot on the floor, it's a basketball team with players and relationships. From the same Indian themed halftime shows every single game, to their talk about style and product, this is looking like nothing more than a move to make viveks pockets fatter

I agree I want the ball in Cousins hands, but again I just don't see how it benefits us or him to have the ball where he did unless if it was for a hand-off (or maybe a bullet pass since he can see over the defense) and using his big body to free up Collison/Mclemore/Gay. If Cousins is going to catch it there and there's 4-5 secs on the shot clock be a playmaker than. As skilled as Cousins is I don't like it when he tries to make multiple dribble moves above the free throw line.
