Dre!!

I've always liked Miller, don't know how much he has left in the tank (what is he, 45?)... but he can't be worse than Sessions off the bench.

Of course, bringing Kenny Thomas out of retirement and playing him out of position as a PG wouldn't be much worse than Sessions either.

And of course there is the Karl connection.

That makes sense. We get out from under the second Sessions year, move unhappy Sessions, bring in a vet, and a guy that can help spread Karl's messages in the locker room. Not a huge boost from an Xs and Os standpoint, since he can't shoot and will want to post where Cousins needs space.
Also worth noting that Miller gets pissed about not playing when he thinks that he's better than the guys ahead of him. He's probably better than Ray and as recently as two years ago, he was probably better than Collision ... so I wouldn't bank on Miller staying a happy camper for more than a month if he keeps racking up DNPs.

Good move, the Kings needed a point guard with Collison's injury. With McCallum as the only other option I would expect Miller to start unless we make another move. It does bring temporary stability with someone who knows Karl's system and will probably be a good influence on the other players.

Andre Miller turns 39 exactly one month from today. Looks like we might only have him until end of this season unless impresses his former coach enough to give him one last go round next year.

GOOD move. Need a pro vet like Miller. Anyone doubting: can he be worse than Sessions? No. Is he a strong vet presence with a a history with Karl's system? Yes. Even if he becomes the 11-12th man... that is exactly who you want down there next to Ryan Hollins in a guard positions. Nice work.

ha! somebody (probably Lowe) predicted that the Kings would go after Miller the second they hired Karl. getting him for Sessions is pretty much a best-case scenario. however, I'm not expecting much out of Miller. he has lost playing time to Garrett Temple this season. still, can't be worse than what Sessions has given us.

Good move. Only real risk is sessions regaining his form as miller pretty much has a fork in him. But it's a vet presence that clears a little cap room next year.

Wow, I love this. Sessions was hurting the team. Now we do a straight swap for a proven veteran. He'll be a huge locker room guy, not only in terms of his experience and leadership, but the fact that he's a Karl guy and he can be someone to ease the transition.

I find nothing wrong with this trade. Gave up a piece that was hurting us, and brought in a veteran to teach, lead, and provide some stability to our bench unit.

Yeah, it sucks that after so many years we finally brought in Sessions, and then he has the worst season of his career. I kept waiting for him to regain form, but I just dont know if it was going to happen here...

With the Kings moving in on Miller 3 hours before the deadline, you'd have to think we are either out of Dragic chase our our package has to include Collision. Because even PDA isn't crazy enough to make a Dragic / Collision / Miller mess today, right?

We are probably out. With the Heat reportedly putting two firsts on the table, our likely Collision and Nick offer effectively puts us out.

If we are offering Collision and Ben for a guy that has an agent that's telling us, we'll never stay and you can stuff that 5th year up your but ... maybe it could still happen and Andre Miller will be here a while.

Miller was still very solid off the Wizards bench. And he can really run a team and get the ball to guys in the right spot. Much better fit than Sessions, who is at his best in the open court.
