[News] Kings trade Jonas to Denver for Saric

That’s a good point, but it also frees up the minutes for Raynaud to get some burn which would still support a rebuild direction.
Also explains why we used a two way slot on another center despite having drafted and already having three on the active roster at the time.

Because nobody is gonna give you draft assets for a 33 year old backup center with no athleticism. You people have no realism in your brain. Th is isn’t nba2k
They could give up assets but it would have to be in February when rosters solidify for the stretch.

My goodness. I'm not even going to pretend to know what the hell the Kings front office is doing, at this point. Here's what I do know: every effort in the last twenty years to create "cap flexibility" in Sacramento has ended in disappointment. Unless Perry has some real magic up his sleeve, I'm expecting to be further disappointed.

I mean, Maxime or Isaac are on pace to see big minutes in the rotation this season behind Domas. That feels more rebuildy to me than treading water.
Yeah I can’t figure out what everybody wants around here. They want actual talent traded for a rebuild but get bent out of shape when we trade a backup center that is well past his prime

Actually happy with this. Jval is old, rather give those mins to maxime and jones.

Yeah, I guess this issue is what are we doing? I'd love to give Reynaud minutes year 1, but JV absolutely helps you win more games, now. Everything we've been linked to this off-season indicates we're trying to win games.

Whatever this "hidden" move is, it better indicate a direction. Because everything shown so far does not indicate one.

Just 5 months ago you guys are cheering for a great pick up with 2 2nd round picks, now he is a 33 year old backup center with no athleticism which no one will give up assets for? Pick a side ffs.

Just another thought... 15M for a back up center is a lot for any team, especially if you aren't realistically contending for anything. Even though I love JV, this could simply be Perry cleaning up the books in his mind.

JV was a big body and could score. But anytime he’s on the floor he gets cooked defensively. There’s just no chance with him defending in space or defending the PnR.
