[Game] Kings @ Timberwolves - 11/2/12 - 5pm PDT

How the hell are Brooks, Outlaw, and Hayes still in the NBA?

because they've never had to share the floor at the same time. while the starting lineup is certainly preferable to some of the alternatives, smart's substitution patterns are baffling...

the fact that this lineup is still on the floor makes me give up hope for this entire season unless Smart is replaced

It'll be interesting to see how long Smart rides this bench crew and when IT/Reke/Cuz come back in. Seems he can't decipher between the poor play of a guy or two, and instead just says the whole lineup wasn't good so all of you sit.

Hayes has a purpose, and a well known skill set. Outlaw is just bench filler players that all teams have, but most teams don't feel the need to play them a lot... Brooks is just a scoring guard who has his place too, but not on this team as we already have scoring guards who are better than him.

Honestly it is so baffling for me to watch. We could field two completely different NBA teams the way we sub.

Please but Tyreke in. Please I beg you Keith Smart

Edit: Smart's response - I see you asking for Tyreke. Here's Cisco!

IT can't penetrate and create for others against a stacked defense. Reke can. We're hurting ourselves by keeping Reke off the ball and IT on it. You need a guy who can attack and make the defense shift. Reke is the only guy who can do that, yet he's waiting for kickouts.

Boils down to coaching. But this up and down, every one should shoot when they get a window is killing us on both ends.

No he can't, he's been ineffective this game for the same reason the others have. Reke is certainly better than IT driving the ball but they'll pack it in on Reke just as much if not even more than IT, even if Reke can break in once and awhile it's a low percentage offense with no real consistent options beyond iso play. Unless team stop playing this rather obvious defense of course. Reke either becomes an effective mid-range shooter or he's the top of the key slashing PG with shooters around him. I mean, that's kind of how he's played his entire life right? It's like trying to turn Jimmer Fredette into a pick and roll PG, if you wanted that to begin with, you should have looked elsewhere. That's on Petrie for either drafting the wrong players for his coach, or the coach for not using the players the coach needed.

This is what many of us were worried about after watching the preseason games. The rotations are still highly questionable.

Fundamental flaws are attempted to be treated by replacing bodies who inherently have the same flaws and are playing the same flawed system. The only benefit is in theory the bench has more pure shooting on it than the starting lineup.

Evans/Thornton/JJ/Cousins can work in the right setup. So frustrating.

oh my god. jimmer now? im starting the movement right now in game 2 of the season. who wants to join me? NEW COACH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cousins flat out ignored Jimmer on the court. Then goes and looks like a reatrd and gets his 3rd foull. smh

Cousins gets the rebound, REFUSES to give it to Jimmer...dribbles up the court himself...CHARGE. Come on man, I think them boys are trying to blackball Jimmer.

Reke can get into the paint just about anytime he wants if he gets the ball at the top with the floor spread. That's different than getting all the way to the hoop. But he will make defenses rotate over and can find shooters. Put MT on a wing, IT on the other, and Reke could penetrate and hit them repeatedly, or create passing lanes.

So yeah, I kinda disagree with you here.
