Fox, Barnes and Sabonis getting handled by SGA and a bunch of guys no one has ever heard of.
To be fair, Sabonis has been out most of the game with foul trouble. And both teams have been getting taken to the woodshed by the refs.

It's going to be very interesting to see what Gentry runs at the start of the 2nd half. He played big and burly early, pounding it down to Sabonis and Lyles at every turn. Then the Thunder started to double, triple, and sink into the paint and it started to get a little out of hand on both ends.

I feel like the kings are catching Poku on his occasional good night too.

He looks a lot more comfortable out there. He is doing the little things, hustle plays and making good passes. Last year and the beginning of this season it was mostly clanking 3s and being skinny.

Fox is making plays despite his poor shooting and Barnes is doing okay as their 3rd option, but Sabonis can't turn over the ball 5 times in a half no matter how bad everyone is at cutting and he can't keep getting into foul trouble. This is more on him right now than the other two; as their best player he shouldn't be immune to criticism.

I'm also pretty annoyed at that lineup of Mitchell, DDV, Holiday; that should be a defensive pest lineup but they couldn't stop fouling and got owned by a bunch of kids barely out of diapers to the tune of a 10-0 run.

(Also Mitchell's donut in everything besides points...)

I don't care what kind of players the Kings have defensively, if they keep playing off pick and roll, under screens, and over on help, this team will never be a darn thing on that end. Especially with Sabonis now guarding the rim. The advantage for this team is legs, use them. Play tight, aggressive, switch.

And that worked like I kind of figured. Interesting indeed. lol. Gentry getting outcoached big time at the moment.

Lyles was productive, but you can clearly see the difference with Barnes at PF. The spacing opens up completely. Trade, no trade, that apparently ain't changing. Barnes is a PF.
