Kevin is sitting this one out. I can think of 50 reasons why he shouldn't.

Let's take it to 'em like last time!

The Kings should continue to play run n gun like we have the past week or so. Hell why not? We can't play defense, might as well try to score alot.

I don't think we have the same chance without Martin on the court... especially when you're trying to run and gun.

Hm according to Sacbee Martin will be resting his sore ankles tonight. If any game I hope he misses the Clippers game also.

kevin in sitting out to solidify that last place spot for the draft...

what are those t shirts the benches are wearing?

We were at that time of the season 50 games ago

oh, I agree 100% .. Greene should have been playing at least 20 mpg all year.

On another note, McCants is a bigger black hole than Salmons. I cant figure out why people want to sign him unless there just looking at the box score at how many points he has, and dont realize how much of a ball hog he is .. He does nothing for this team.

Word!

No Audio????

Once again, the over the air broadcast in Eureka features NO SOUND (well, the commercials have sound). Nice job guys.

Anyone else having these problems?

Hawes having yet ANOTHER good game! He better watch out thoe, if he does any better coach will probably bench him like in Golden State.

Ball hog? Maybe. I've felt that way at times, but I think that perception is a bit overblown. But here's why I would be in favor of resigning McCants:

Per36..FG%..FT%.3%.Reb.Ast.Stl.Blk..TO..Pts
KMart .420 .867 .415 3.4 2.6 1.1 0.1 2.7 23.2
RMcC .473 .744 .357 4.0 2.6 1.6 0.5 0.9 18.3

I like those numbers coming off the bench behind Kevin. A lot.

I for one. do Not want Mccants around next year. Yes he is a talented player, but he reminds me of artest in that he thinks he is better than he is. I appreciate his toughness, but he is the biggest ballhog on the team. Donte should be getting his minutes next year. Actually, Donte should be getting his minutes this year.

I think people are sleeping on McCants. He's tough, physcial, and explosive. He's averaging 10.5pts in 21 minutes for us, which is oustanding. And he's doing it on 47% shooting.

im up for signing mccants just NOT for the MLE or more than that... a 10 mil two year deal sounds about right

That's pretty much the MLE. ;)

He's a restricted free agent I believe, so we can actually just put out a qualifying offer and wait and see what the other teams offer and then just match if its reasonable. Only downside is that the qualifying offer counts against your capspace until you rescind it.

I like his toughness and I like the fact that he is our only guard who has a post up game, but he cant play point and he doesnt pass.

Just watching him you can tell when he gets in his 'zone' he isnt going to pass no matter what. He is going to go 1 on 1 weather its the smart thing to do or not, and he gets his points I just hate how he does it, because other that those points he isnt helping the team. The ball stops when it gets to him, and when these kings games finally matter its going to hurt. I just dont like his game, and wouldnt sign him, but to each his own.

Twolves AND Memphis won tonight, hell yea.

Minnesota joins Memphis with a win tonight. Both teams are inching closer to getting mathematically out of our way...

Yet he takes fewer shots per 36 minutes than Kevin, has the same number of assists per 36 as Kevin and 3 times FEWER turnovers. And nobody complains about Kevin being a black hole.

Sometimes McCants takes drives that look ill-advised, true. But he's strong enough that he converts a lot of them. He will never be a PG, but I like his scoring punch off the bench, especially if it comes as cheaply as his qualifying offer ($3.65M).
