I liked Afflalo getting physical with Booker there two possessions in a row. DB scored the second time but it's about the time being set.

As Doug Christie said, once you convince the refs that you're a tough, physical defensive team you get the benefit of the doubt from the officials.

Impressive 1st half, almost everyone getting minutes and making the most of it.

Kings looking good at the half. The defense is refreshing and the transition defense specifically is awesome. Ty Lawson is looking sharp. Love what Ben McLemore is doing on the court. Cuz a non factor so far but there's a whole half left.

On the other end of the ledger, Casspi has been lethargic. But you can see he's playing hard. Kufos seems a tad slow as well. Love the effort! Go KINGS !

Wow...

We haven't played a half of basketball of this quality in 2 years, and that's not an exaggeration. Seriously. Thing about it. Imagine what just happened taking place at any point last year. We'd be flipping out. The fact that we did this with such apparent ease this year... it's almost scary. Scary because it now makes us realize how incredibly poorly we have been coached since Malone left.

Cuz being a non factor is a GREAT sign. He will get his thats never been an issue its been everyone else, for once it seems like hes got some nba level talent around him.

Really liked what Kofous did there. After missing a bunch of chip shots, he didn't get down. He went right down to the other side of the court and saved us about 6 points in a minute and a half on defense alone. That's exactly what you want a backup C to do for you. I hope Joerger doesn't run out the Kofous/Cousins lineup after the half.

Positive: Pretty much every single one of the threes were good shots. They'll fall at a better clip moving forward.

Sure, but it shows something important that the Kings shot poorly from 3 and got a very minor contribution from Boogie and yet have a 19 point lead at the half.

Good defense will keep the Kings in a lot of games.

A guard core like what the suns have would have ran circles around us last year, yeah the suns arent great but our defensive execution is noticeablely a factor in this game.

Biggest thing that sticks out to me is players seem to be just flat working. Not worried about when they get their shot they just work. Lawson, tolliver, temple, Barnes and afflalo just plain and simple they work. Not trying to force to cousins or Rudy just pass the ball until somebody is open

I thought Joerger was just experimenting with starting KK and Boogie but he seems set on it for the time being even though he's not afraid to make a quick substitution as we saw in the first quarter when Dudley was getting a little too much operating room.

Personally I thought coach would mix up the fifth starter to go with Cousins, Gay, Afflalo and Collison/Lawson depending on matchups but he seems to like a set starting five and for now that means Kosta starting.

It matters in the context of trying to determine if the team has vastly improved or the Suns have just gotten significantly worse. I guess its a mixture of both but trying to determine what that mixture is seems worthy of posting the question.
