Sure, it's just summer league but this is supposedly our young core and they just look terrible right now.

The fact that Buddy, Skal, and Georgios are 2nd year guys makes it worse that they are struggling so badly, especially at the things that are supposed to be their strengths.

Yeah last year during summer we could say well we got cuz and Rudy and collision. This year hell we are looking at what we thought could be 4 potential starters.

I think even their prospects on their actual roster were upperclassmen and they're in the second or third years. The rest are Cooley types

Sad when Sampson and Cooley have been two of the best players on the team. Skal still needs to get stronger, Papa has bricks for hands, and Hield can't make anything so far.

People just wanted to see the youngins. Plus, people are more upset that the Kings won't be terrible, or not terrible enough with the vet signings. They wanted a tank season because that supposedly has no bad effect on the players, team culture, and how the FO evaluates them...and the coaches.

I was pretty sure Hield was the only one that could sniff a starting job. Even that can end up the older and more expensive Bogdans job. Maybe Fox before we got Hill.

im willing to put money on the fact that he is out of the NBA at the end of his rookie contract. He had exactly 2 games last year of garbage spoon feed time where he was average at best. 2 games

Summer league is always a mess.

You have unsigned guys trying to make a roster, it's guard dominated, more established prospects trying out new aspects of their game or new roles.

Buddy was dope last year. Skal showed a lot in limited minutes. Even Papa had some good games.

No reason to panic. Our young guys looked good when playing in a structured offense with seasoned vets. That's why we have Hill, Temple, Z-bo, Vince, and KK.

Not that we won't be terrible next year, but all the kids will have a better chance to grow and flash talent when it's not a summer league free for all.

I'd gladly take your money then. Giving up on a massive big kid who's flashed potential after 2 summer league games is one of the most asinine things I've ever read. Your posts read as someone who's bitter he either picked to high or traded for Criss so you're going to belittle the dude at every shot while ignoring the times he does flash. I don't get it.

Nothing wrong with a difference of opinion on Papa, not everyone has to agree and its okay. I dont see anything that says give him court time, I dont even care about offense, as a big guy hes getting pushed around, clueless on where to be defensively, showing zero fight. Im fine with righting him off, draft busts happen.

No no no make no mistake I gave up on him last year. He isn't gonna get faster. He looks like zydrunas illgauskas did when he was 35 and getting ready to retire. Only difference is Z could still make a shot.

The thing is we don't want or need PapaG to be a star even though he was a 13th pick. Kings fans are easy to please. Look at our favs like funderburke, pollard, acy etc. we just want to see that hard work and hustle. I don't want Cooley on the kings instead of PapaG, I just want PapaG to do what Cooley is doing. If he gets 10/10 a night and fights and claws down low every game, I'd be a happy camper.
