Kings-Spurs PBP thread for Nov. 2

Greetings, fellow Kings fans!

Even I, the most resolute Kings homer arguably on the entire planet, don't really expect our Kings to win tonight. What could be interesting, although not likely, is if the Spurs are already looking past this game. Of course, with Greg Popovich at the helm, I really don't see that happening.

This thread, and everything here at Kingsfans.com, is possible because we have a board owner who has stuck with the Kings through thick and thin. He's a nice guy, our board owner, and we're all very grateful he's given us the #1 Sacramento Kings Online Community to share our joys and sorrows, hopes and fears, etc.

Grant and Jerry saying it will take an A+ game from the Kings to beat the Spurs. I simply do not think an A+ will do it. A+++++ (and mandatory benching of at least 2 Spurs starters) maybe... but I'm not harboring many hopes. As I said before, though, I'm not looking for the win, although it would be suh-sweet. I'm looking to see how the players adapt to Reggie's demands and how Coach Reggie handles the minutes of the various players. I hope to see hustle and focus, transition defense, some rebounds and maybe even a couple of blocks, some full-court pressure AND some warning about screens.

Miller to Salmons, who turns the corner and draws the foul from Finley. Ginobili in. Still Kings ball.

Salmons beats Ginobili, goes insid,e misses the lay-up, gets his own rebound, is shoved by Oberto. Non-shooting foul. Still Kings ball. Douby in for Greene.

Miller for two from mid-range.

Martin tries to move inside against Manu, who fouls him and Kevin heads to the line. Manu, of course, protests that he didn't foul...
