Greetings, fellow Kings fans!

First, as usual, let's see what Sam Amick has to say about tonight's game:

Tonight's Game: Kings (21-26) at Seattle (18-31)
By Sam Amick - Last Updated 12:35 am PST Saturday, February 10, 2007

KINGS OUTLOOK - With four consecutive wins, these Kings -- just like the 2005-06 version -- are crawling back into the land of relevance and trying to put together a surge that will make the All-Star break more enjoyable. The Kings have won seven of their last 11 games, and they were in position to win in three of those four losses. The lone exception was a 17-point loss to Detroit at the Palace of Auburn Hills that, as Kings coach Eric Musselman pointed out, is the sort of rout that's been a rarity this season.

SUPERSONICS OUTLOOK - Ray Allen's good, but he's not that good. The SuperSonics star has carried a load that's simply too heavy since Rashard Lewis went down with a hand injury Dec. 20 against Dallas. Seattle has lost 14 of 22 games without Lewis, although he is expected to return tonight. Allen has led the team in scoring in 15 of the past 17 games.

KEY MATCHUP - Kevin Martin vs. Ray Allen -- The Sonics' recent woes mean Allen has plenty to worry about other than a game that took place nearly three months ago. Still, Allen was upstaged by the youngster in the Nov. 24 affair -- a 109-100 Kings victory. Allen probably hasn't forgotten how Martin, who scored 35 points, held him to 18 points on 6-for-22 shooting.

PROBABLE STARTERS

KINGS - Bibby, Martin, Artest, Thomas, Miller

SUPERSONICS - Ridnour, Allen, Lewis, Wilcox, Collison

It's still raining up here which means with every falling drop the possibility of a "drought" lessens considerably. We've had over 7 inches of rain since Wednesday, which is a welcome relief. And yes, that's how much rain we get out of storms. No wonder the trees grow so tall. :p

I got a new supply of Gevalia French Vanilla coffee, so I'm certain not to run out any time in the near future.

Now, as always, a brief commercial...

This is the first game of a back-to-back, away-then-home matchup against the Sonics. I don't know what the stats are on the Kings winning both games, but I'm just gonna root for them the way I always do and see what happens...

GO KINGS!!!

Whoooooooo!!!!

Word in - Brad Miller out for unknown length of time with a flare-up of plantar fasciitis. Ouch. That's a shame because he was actually showing some good movement up and down the court and I swear I saw him get decent air on dunks at least three times in the past three games.

Uh-oh. I wonder if that's what caused the problem?

:p

Get well soon, Brad!!!

The Kings wearing purple uniforms, BTW. Hopefully they've completed the wearing requirement for this year and we won't have to see them again any time soon...

Line-up change. SAR starting at the 5...

I suppose I should at least try to predict when Danny Fortson will be assessed his first technical... I'm thinking he and SAR will get into it fairly quickly if they're matched against each other.
