Kings - Sixers

Smills91

Starter
Kings deal: Brad Miller/Mikki Moore/Beno Udrih
Sixers deal: Andre Miller/Samuel Dalembert/Theo Ratliff

Why for Sacramento: We move some pieces that aren't taking us anywhere and get two pieces to help improve our defensive capabilities.

Why for Philly: Current pieces just don't fit. Brad would be PHENOMENAL next to Brand and this deal offers the Sixers BETTER shooters to go with Iggy's driving and Brand's post game. Also, Daly doesn't fit well next to Brand. Moore adds more frontcourt depth to help Philly adjust their playoff aspiration over the next 2 years.

Kings Roster:

C: Samuel Dalembert, Shelden Williams, Theo Ratliff
PF: Spencer Hawes, Jason Thompson, Kenny Thomas
SF: John Salmons, Francisco Garcia, Donte Greene
SG: Kevin Martin, Bobby Jackson, Quincy Douby
PG: Andre Miller, Bobby Brown

Philly Roster:
C: Brad Miller, Mikki Moore, Marreese Speights
PF: Elton Brand, Reggie Evans, Jason Smith
SF: Thaddeus Young, Donyell Marshall
SG: Andre Iguodala, Willie Green, Kareem Rush
PG: Beno Udrih, Louis Williams, Royal Ivey

I'd only do this trade if we decide to go for the 2009 FA crop instead of 2010, because Miller and Ratliff are expiring. I like Dalembert, but I'm not sure I do this because this will improve our team this year, but only to the point where we end up in familiar territory in the lottery. (9-12 range)

I would do this with heartbeat if we can pull this off at the end of deadline. Dalembert is overpaid, but he can be a great backup for Jason and Hawes. The best thing about this trade is that we could dump Beno's huge, overpaid contract. Also with Brad out, Kings can have new offensive system. Also I think that this trade won't hurt us from picking up FA in 2010. Its only like 6Mil difference between Dalembert and Beno(way longer contract).

Dalembert = Poor mans Thabeet. Do I hear gambit?

Thabeet still doesn't impress me yet with his man on man D or offense but he has seemed to improve on positioning and timing.. Definite potential there, but I am not crowning him better than Dalembert yet.

I wanted Dalembert for the longest time but not sure if I care anymore with our roster. At this point I am fine with keeping Brad until the end of his contract >.<

I have always liked Miller and Ratliff. Of course Ratliff is just an expiring/filler but he's cool in my book!

Andre Miller isn't the most amazing PG but i think he gets the job done and does it well.
