Kings salary situation (revisited)

with the trade for Vasquez, signing of Mclemore and Landry. Kings currently sit at 52.6 million. The cap this year rumored to be 58.5 mil. So we are currently right around 6 mil left in cap space.

What does that mean? JT, Hayes, contracts are in the 5.5 range. Thornton in the 8 mil range Jimmer and Ppat in the 2.5 range.

with a combo of JT or Hayes + Jimmer we can take back a contract worth around 12 mil a year. A thornton + JT trade you could take back 19 mil contract or combo of that. Now with an amnesty of John Salmons that is nearly 7.6 mil added to cap space so the original 6 turns into 13.6 mil. You can do alot with that btw.

But most around here seem to think we will be making a trade of one of the bigs. hayes or JT could get us an 11 mil a year guy ppat alone gets us an 8.5 mil a year guy. Our problem? finding somebody that wants to trade a SF. no talk of any at the moment but things change every day.

i don't see us using amnesty this year though. especially if you use Thornton in a trade. You will need salmons as backup.

Best Case Scenerio. Thornton + JT for Granger. sign dalembert. or Thornton + Pat for Granger. JT and Jimmer for Asik. Or stay very Cheap yet still good scenerio get Barnes from GS then get Daly or Asik

There is still going to be trades, i doubt we amnesty Salmons(he is better than most of the junk out there tbh, unless we land a SF through trade). I think Thornton, Jimmer, Hayes, JT, Patterson, Salmons and maybe IT are all open to be traded by this FO. My guess is IT, Thornton, JT stay.

Sign Austin Daye (as a back up SF) cheap and hopefully trade for a SF
