What an inspiring final two minutes playing great defense … against a team that has like 16 wins! What an inspiring win! This culture is sure to elevate us not only to the playoffs, but to title contention next season!

All I’ll say is I’m really hoping this doesn’t cost a top 5 pick. I do love see Davion ball out. He’s looked better than Haliburton lately

The Kings literally have no youth to turn to anymore. On paper you can't beat tank teams like the ones they're facing, haha. The fact that they are even so close in competition is a disappointment for a variety of different reasons though.

Would you all prefer Davion Mitchell look and play like crap? Is that the point we're at now?

Everyone understands the ping pong balls. We're winning on the back of Davion playing like a star and big contributions from Trey Lyles, Damian Jones, Metu and DDV. Think about that for a second. 5 dudes who most of you said aren't good enough to be rotation players or starters (in DDV/Mitchell case). 2 dudes Monte got off the street, a throw-in in the Bagley trade, a guy people aren't convinced won't ever be the same and a "back-up" PG.

It is what it is. We're sitting our 2 best players and 4 of our 8 top players (Holmes/TD). Barnes has played way too much, but been incredibly ordinary or we've been flat out worse with him on the floor. Queta needs to play, obviously. But lets hear it from all the geniuses that are griping. How do you "tank" more?

The only two young guys that the Kings could turn to to "play the youth" who aren't already playing 40 minutes a night are Queta and Jackson and Jackson is almost 100% not in this team's plans going forward and already 25. Moe Harkless isn't playing either but he's also one of the oldest guys on the team.

Playing Justin Holiday 48 minutes would probably help us tank. Just sayin'

I say look towards the data. What are the analytics of running a defensive scheme that either gives up nothing but and 1's or missed open jumpers? I mean, the Kings are just about all the way there anyway, might as well try it out full on, no stops.

I’d imagine that would require not playing Davion or DDV

If we really want to tank, we need to rest Davion..

I'd rather give him the reps as THE MAN vs sitting him to hopefully get better odds.

Portland and Houston are putting out the hottest of garbage, we gotta go full chunky vomit to compete with the doo doo they're throwing on the court (no offense to all the fringe g-leaguers getting their shot).

That would admit Monte is good at his job though and we can't have that around here.

Basically, what we're saying is Davion, DDV, Lyles, Jones, (and Barnes obviously) are too good to play in a tank scenario.

The roster is now good enough to beat bad teams without half our rotation playing (including our two stars). Not sure we could have said this the last couple of seasons

To Houston’s credit, Sengun is actually injured and they were still playing their second overall pick and KPJ.

Portland has uhhhhhh not been doing that.

Exactly. I really don’t get some of these comments

I think this team has legit rotation guys when before we had very few. Still the hope is that we can be a 6 or better next season and that would be a lot more exciting with a top 4 pick this year. Once you get into the playoffs picking high in the lotto doesn't happen any more. I'm excited to see Davion doing so well though. He looked so good in summer league and then he disappeared for a while. I'm putting a lot of faith in Monte and so seeing these results again restores some I was starting to question.

100% to all you said above.

Honestly, I find it hilarious to read the comments from those hopelessly married to purposely losing. IMO they deserve all the misery and frustration they’re wallowing in. KARMA is a *****.

Agree with you. Sitting Fox, Sabonis, and Holmes is 'we give up' enough. Sure, they're playing Barnes, but does he actually help winning? Agree with the others who have said there will be good contributors available regardless of where we pick, with not much that splits the top 5 from 6 - 10.
