Kings release Amundson AND Williams!

Clark we let him walk away...

Actually, it was worse than that. We traded Keon and two second round draft picks to Utah in return for one second round draft pick. I liked that trade almost as much as when we traded Jon Barry and a first round draft pick for Mateen Cleaves.

Yes, the Kings paid to Keon taken off their hands. It's a pity that his head wasn't on right, because he had the talent.

Jon Barry was a salary dump, something that has seemed to be a motivating factor in a number of deals.

Now we have 14 players.

Now Chris Taft is available from the Warriors.

I say sign him, and I will completly forget about Justin Williams.

Just a thought. Now we all know Brad isn't a very good rebounder and isn't a very good defender. He is however a good perimeter scorer and passer. Now that the ball is mostly in bibby's hands and the ball no going through Miller does that mean Miller is just kinda like Peja now without the % or even decent defense. If that is the case and Muss wants a perimeter shooting Big why not go for Raek Lafrnetz who can shoot better than Miller and he can actually block shots and rebound better. Just a thought. I know the contract is high but it works for me.

I liked Chris Taft last year going into the draft and i Know he had health concerns How is he doing? Also why would GS get rid of him if he had an value?

This is going to come back and bite us. Amundson is a borderline NBA player at best, but Williams can develop into a really good defense stopper/shot blocker/rebounder. I can see him being a poor man's Ben Wallace, and maybe even better if he can develop some offense. There would have been no harm in paying him the minumum and either sending him to the D-League to work on his game or else keeping him with the team to practice and learn.

Lets keep things in perspective here.

If your offensivly inept, you are most likley going to remain offensivly inept.

Ben Wallace...Great defensivly, but has always been terrible offensivly.

And Justin Williams wasn't even a good scorer in collage.

He'll be Ben Wallace super-light at best in the NBA.

Amundson will be Mark Madsen light.

Yeah....If Williams becomes a good defensive big in two or three seasons I dont think telling my friends I told you so is gonna ease the pain.
