I want our point guards to pressure the opponent's point guards. To me, that is good defense. I'd like to see a lot more of picking up opponent's point guards in the back court next year. Defenders also need to make it difficult for their man to receive the ball if they don't have the ball. The Kings' defense has been way too passive. I'd rather exert more pressure and risk ocassional "back doors" than allow the opponent to dictate where and when want to attack. In other words, our defense has to become much more offensive. By doing so, the Kings will force the opposing team to react to them, not the other way around. Also, the opposing team will be forced to exert much more energy on the offensive end of the floor. With the live bodies this team as now at wing and center this kind of defense is definitely doable, imo.
