[Game] Kings @ Raptors 1/4/2012

This game smells like it could be trouble for Sac-Town. Toronto has won 3 in a row and 8 of their last ten games. DeRozan, their leading scorer this season as well as rookie Terrence Ross have been red hot during much of this stretch. However, the Kings have been playing well recently too and as good as the scoring and passing have been for the Raptors, the rebounding and inside scoring has been just as good for the Kings.

I predict that Sacramento wins, if and only if, Cousins and Thompson have good games and someone disrupts Calderon's passing lanes.

Another game where JT and Cousisn should dominate. Toronto is very thin on the front line and our bigs should have no problem having big games

I just hope Smart and our guards don't get too caught up in trying to out smallball the Raptors.

Raptors have won 8 out of 9 wow.

Lets hope someone stops DeRozan. And lets hope smart knows that the way to win this game is going down low to DeMarcus

the Raptors are on a nice streak, but some Raptors fans attribute that to the idea that teams just don't take the Raptors seriously and the Kings quite clearly are one of the teams that bloody well shouldn't do that. this game should actually be fun, or at least close, and, as others have said, if the Kings manage to play through their bigs, they might actually win this one.

Predictions:

Lowry killed us the first time we played Toronto. he will do it again. i predict 26pts/7reb/9ast

Cousins should have a good game if Smart implements a smart gameplan. 24pts/15reb/5ast

but i think we get outplayed and lose 106-99

Kings win with no drama, IT dribbles the ball down to finish the game and hands the ball to the ref and we go home happy.

That's a pretty big set of numbers for Lowry. The second time around I think the Kings deal with him better than the first. Isn't Tyreke playing in this game? If so, maybe a few minutes from him at the end of the game on Lowry might make a difference. Didn't know about the Raptor's hot streak. Makes this game that much more interesting.

yes, nitpicking, but: does DMC's defense look kinda lazy even for him? he's reaching all the time, gambling, playing with his hands down and without any energy, especially on help. not that I even should care, given what he's doing offensively. still, bugs me.

He's got two steals.

He gambles a bit too much which leads to the cheapie fouls he used to get a lot. He has two steals already though... which only encourages him.
